A Fine Value Hotel in Culver City. I've tried many a Super 8 because they (usually) give me everything I desire in a motel for a very good price: decent room, comfortable bed, reasonable quiet, free Internet, a rudimentary breakfast at no extra charge. Against that background, this one was a pleasant surprise: very clean, comfortable room, not facing the street, tidy as a pin and with a helpful staff. I needed a document printed out and the woman at the desk handled it smartly without a hint of a charge.

The breakfast could have been a bit more lavish, but I'm a guy who's happy with coffee, juice and cereal. And it saves dropping ten or twenty bucks on a diner for no good reason.

One other feature: handy (but not too close) to LAX, but (unlike the LAX hotels) parking is free.

I'll be coming back to this place in the future if I want to stay anywhere nearby.
