Fun place to hang out after work

by DJMonku at Citysearch

It's a bit hard to locate the place, but once you find it, it's a gem. Very cozy bar&grill with friendly staff. The food and drinks are cheap, and the vibe feels relaxing after a day of work. They give out free pizza on Fridays so it's a plus. Plenty of TVs to watch sports.

Friendly staff, reasonable prices, great happy hour specials

by huangshing at Citysearch

This place is great. The staff and chefs are extremely accommodating. This place may not be for everyone, but for the majority of people, this is a great hang out place whether you're by yourself or if you come with a group of friends. They make you feel at home and treat you as if you are part of the "family".

The lunch is reasonably priced and the lunch portions are huge. The happy hour specials are very cheap and the pours for the drinks are very strong. On any given night, they have specials ranging from $1 tacos, $2 beers, $3 drafts for import and domestic, and a lot more.

They have lots of TV's, patio seating and the MLB package.

Although the prices and ambiance may be reasons for others to come, I come for the people and to hang out after work with the level headed regulars. Great place for lunch, dinner and happy hour!

MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT YOUR BILL !!! GOT A CALCULATOR HANDY

by M U at Citysearch

I have spent a lot of cash here and have introduced this place to many new people but I have to say I will never go back. The last 4 times they overcharged me and I love the invoice they give you ....THEY never itemize it....just a tan piece of paper with a bunch of dr's scribble with the total circled and when you ask the waiter to break that down....."HMMMMM" .....yeah that's what I thought. The last two times with the same friend and she was paying the bill and noticed right away....where did they come up with this figure....they corrected it right away...just because you have had a few cocktails...doesnt mean you can do the basic simple math. SHAME ON YOU THE CELLAR !!!!! Oh by the way the waitstaff is HORRIBLE you only see them when you get the menu and take the order and then when you receive the bill...which they will add an extra drink or two or fudge the numbers- I feel soo bad for the busboy - he works his butt off to do the work the waitstaff is suppose to be doing...so BEWARE !!!! SHAME ON YOU AGAIN CELLAR !!!! Cellar is the THING OF THE PAST !!! The ONLY good thing at the Cellar is their meatloaf

  • Cons: terrible service and will overcharge you

Secret hideout in century city

by harps at Citysearch

This is a cozy cheers-like bar in an unlikely setting. When you first walk through the doors you will be surprised with the decor and the layout: low lighting, comfortable tables, large projection TV, east-coast like basement feel. The cellar is a great respite from the otherwise corporate jungle of Century City. Its a great place to catch a drink or two or three after work, watch the game, and enjoy free chips and salsa. Service is casual but mostly attentive. Food is typical bar food but not exceptional. What stands out is the ambiance and the reasonably priced drinks.

  • Pros: comfortable, cheap, good ambience
  • Cons: closes early
