I've been going to Dr Salit for over 4-5 years now and he's amazing! I've never spent more than 5 minutes in the waiting room, and 2 minutes waiting in the exam room (seriously). Procedures are quick and effective (love the cortizone shots). And there's valet parking so you can be in and out in under 30 minutes. Jon

I needed the services of a dermatologist. I went to a Dr. Marmelzat in Santa Ynez, CA. i paid $40 for the brief visit with no biopsi or treatment. Next I got a bill from a Los Angeles Medical Firm "Dermatological Medical Associates of Century City" naming a "Dr. Salit" as the physician who treated me. The total bill then was $189. But I never saw a "Dr. Salit" and I have never been to this second clinic. When I called the Santa Ynez Clinic, they (Carol, the receptionist) would not give me any information on billing. She refered me to the L.A. Clinic which I never visited. I called them. The receptionist (Debra) said she could only take a message and told me that the Billing Department would call me the next day regarding my bill. It remains to be seen as to whether she will call. I will not return to this provider, as they charge excessive fees and tend to cover their tracks.
Pros: clinic close to home
Cons: excessive billing, minimal exam, misuse of documentation for billing. possible fraud
