Terrible customer service, Un Kid friendly
by darcie926
Had our 2.5 year old who is great at restaurants, tried to order from the Kid's Menu a Turkey Panini, but asked them not to "panini" it because our daughter isn't really into melted cheese. They said they "couldn't" do it, and suggested we order a full turkey sandwich ($5 more, plus with all kinds of condiments that are not 2 year old friendly). Seriously? You can't "not" toast it? We asked if they could just put together the turkey and cheese sandwich, and just not grill it down. "That's not a panini, then" is what they told us. I've never heard of a kids menu that is unalterable. I get it if you are a 5 star restaurant unwilling to alter your signature dishes, but come on! A kid's menu item that you're not willing to budge on, and only willing to if we pay $5 more? Ridiculous.
worst bakery I ever been

The food is NOT ORGANIC
by Jon Wilson
the way it says "Organic" prominently all over the restaurant caused many patrons to think the food is organic when in reality ONLY THE COFFEE IS ORGANIC.
The chicken, tuna, salads etc are NOT ORGANIC! And therefore it is not an "organic restaurant" - This wouldn't be such a big deal in most places but this is LA where people care very much about organic foods and knowing what they're actually eating.
go in the morning!

it is little expensive, because parking is valet, but is worth if you go there in the morning.
i found that they sell one day old cakes for half price, called bake sale.

CROWDED NOT WORTH IT!
by Sevanne
The taste is not too bad, but the wait is terrible. Suchhhh a long line and its not worth the wait. The smoothie i purchased was like 10$ almost and the sandwhich, which was supposed to be hot, was cold. The coffee is very pretty there though i must say. But who cares about appearance to wait that long!
great place

I used to study here while in Law School. great crowd, good food, love the outside patio!
More About the Scene Than the Food
by Erin W Davis
Working your why through the patio at Urth Café is similar to walking into the cafeteria on your first day of high school; everyone is staring at you and judging, or, at least, it feels as if they are. Urth is definitely the go-to place for anyone in LA hoping to see or be seen. Aside from great celeb-sightings, this is a great place to pick up anything and everything from coffee and tea to pastries, sandwiches and salads.
Yummy Desserts

Expect a wait at the West Hollywood location regardless of what time you go. The food is great, organic and fresh to order. My favorite is the Chicken Pesto Sandwich, anytime I take someone new and they ask for a recommendation, this is it. I am also a fan of the caprese panini as well. The chicken curry salad is a little heavy on the onion. The salads are light & fresh with light oil & vinegar dressing. All the coffees and teas are organic and strong. The spanish latte is a must try....so good!
If you go try to snag a table, but since its so busy don't be surprised if it takes 20m to get your food.
This is a celebrity hotspot, and Entourage is filmed here, but they will post a notification if they are closing for filming.
The togo cups are 100% compostable.
- Pros: Organic food
- Cons: Small tables, long waits

Great cafe
by tismeeh
My girlfriends and I usually come to Urth when we have a lunch date. We bring our dogs and we just chat for hours while pigging out and people watch.
This place is a little expensive though. I usually spend about $25-30 here for lunch, latte and dessert. Yes, I'm a little piggy, but the dessert selection is amazing!
My favorite here is the honey tea latte, curry chicken salad and Coconut pie. They ARE ALWAYS out of the coconut pie though. Maybe I should leave a nasty review about their coconut pies - lie and say it tastes like dry wall. hhehehe. then there'd be more for me!!! hehehe. just kidding.
Parking isn't so bad. There is always something on the street. Sometimes it takes a U-turn or 2. And if worse comes to worse, there is always valet. I think having to valet your car for a cafe is lame, but then again, it IS L.A.
