A great place to go to experience Hollywood.
by DougSimms
I have been several times and it is always fun. The sound is good, the drinks are expensive. I actually saw the best act I have ever seen live at the Key Club when I went to a Nappy Roots show. A white rapper with a mohawk named Hunter Beard actually stole the show. I would recommend anyone who has not heard/seen this guy's music to do so. Overall a great time. This place epitomizes the "Hollywood" we all know and love.
Metal Skool!!
by BritMill87
These guys are so funny and they rock! I wish I could come like every Monday! I like this place because it has that dark rock hall vibe. Good luck trying to get a table though! But it?s fun anyways. Drinks are a little pricey, but typical Sunset Strip!
- Pros: Big Place, Great Sound
- Cons: Nowhere to sit
Key Club is Badass!
by SarahHeringer
The sound was great and I ended up seeing one of the best Hip-Hop artists I've ever seen there:Hunter Beard of The Definition. The vibe is great. And the stage is in a great place. If you have not seen Hunter Beard you should definitely watch him perform, he will be doing a show there soon with the Nappy Roots. I have nothing negative to say it was very fun.
Music that Rocks! Metal Skool! Upcoming AutoMatique!
by larocksgirl
I went a few weeks ago to check out Metal Skool..and THEY ROCKED! I'm heading out there this Monday to see Metal Skool AGAIN, AND to see an AWESOME local band that I first saw at the Viper Room a few weeks ago (how LA, I know!) :)
This little band AutoMatique -- i think they go on at 9pm...to think of them paired with such an EPIC band of Metal Skool is absolutly amazing...especially on the big stage at the Key Club.
With AutoMatique, you'll like their girl bassist - def setting them apart from all those boy rock bands out there.
See you on Monday for a true ROCK show.
- Pros: great sound. good food, drinks, and MUSIC!
- Cons: none!
Monday Night Metal Skool
by delyte17
By far the best show to visit if your in town on a Monday Night at the KeyClub. The crowd was great, service was fast and the acoustics were awesome. (Not to mention Metal Skool was amazing!) The KeyClub will be the place to take my friends when I want them to have an LA experience like no other!
- Pros: Great acoustics
- Cons: Paparazzi out front!
Great club to see live music!
by lovethenightlife25
This club has the best sound on the strip! There is all kinds of music there. I have seen Gogol Bordello and Art Brut. So cool! But My friends have checked out Hip Hop, country and Metal Skool on Mondays is the coolest thing EVER!
- Pros: cool vibe, eclectic mix of people
- Cons: ???
get a drink then leave

I'm kind of indifferent about keyclub- last time we went there was some death metal band playing. This place is mostly standing room- ambience doesn't really do it for me either. Club hop this place- have a drink, look around, then bounce
not my favorite

cool staff, but most of the shows dont interest me. metal skool is always fun on mondays. used to be at the roxy.
- Pros: metal skool
- Cons: everything else
Broke?
by panchamora
Tuesday nites are free! new and up-and-coming bands perform and they are not that bad!
there are two floors, well the bottom is really just the restrooms and an area where the band is trying to sell their merch. drinks can be pricey so you might want to buy your own and drink before you go in...oh! its all ages on Tuesdays, too...but still got to be 21 and over to drink some booze.
- Pros: music and decor
- Cons: prices, but its sunset
Best live music on the strip
by fishdo42
The Key Club is a great live music venue. Good drinks, awesome bands, great fun. Join the headbangers center-stage or hang out by the bar and watch the fun on the big-screen. Always a good time.
- Pros: Great music, good drinks
- Cons: crowded
