Besides the waitstaff (yes, our dear server girls) walking out of the restrooms without washing their hands and heading straight for the kitchen to bring out food to customers, the ladies room is pretty messy most time.. Service time is not bad at all... Drinks and appetizers are brought out fairly fast.. Also, the bus boys are great... Only problem I've had with this place is watching several of Waitstaff, go in and out of the restroom without washing their hands and watching them come up to bring out a dish to customers... yuck.. alkaline bacteria... anyway, i'd consider Cafe Med or Clafouitise much better.. ciao

My husband and I are from New Haven, CT and we travel to the West Hollywood area 2-4 times per year. Our first stop on every trip is Le Petit Four for lunch. We marvel in the sites & sounds of the Sunset Strip either soaking up the sun or under an umbrella. We have have never had a meal, drink or server that failed to impress us!

Pros: Everything!

Cons: Nothing!

I've been to Le Petit Four countless times. It is consistently good in both food and service and I've never had to wait for a table, despite the fact that it is pretty much always busy. Seating can sometimes get cramped when they are very full, but people mostly keep to themselves. Parking is also pretty easy, even though Sunset is a busy place, I've always been able to find street parking near the restaurant. The food is also good and reasonably priced for being in such a busy and trendy area of L.A.. (The only problem I've ever had with this place though is there was a hair in my Parmesan cheese once!)

Pros: Food, price, location, service, parking

From my own experience and from reading other reviews, it seems like this place just doesn't have good chicken dishes. My chicken parmesan was dry and over-seasoned; my French fries also had too much salt on them. I probably should've gone with one of the pasta dishes, which my friends seemed to have no problem with. The service was adequate although the waitress seemed completely detached and disinterested. She didn't have to be all bubbly, but she could've at least said "you're welcome" when we thanked her for bringing our food, refilling our drinks, etc. instead of just walking away. I personally would rather sit inside the restaurant, which has admittedly lovely decor, than by the sidewalk where people are allowed to smoke. I'm sure my food would have tasted worse if I'd been inhaling cigarette smoke at the same time.

Pros: Ambience; decor

Cons: Pricey for food of inconsistent quality

Like all the restaurants on Sunset Plaza, this joint does not impress -- at least not with the food. That said, it's better than the other restos on this stretch (and that's not saying much). I've eaten here a few times and while the sidewalk seating & people-watching are fantastic, the fare is really not much better than fair. Stuff tastes like it was frozen, then thawed, then put on your plate without much effort or care. The prices would suggest otherwise, but whatever. It's good for out-of-town guests who want 'a scene' but if you want really good food, dont do Sunset Plaza -- they must all get their stuff from the same supplier.

Pros: Sidewalk seating, people-watching

Cons: Same food as all the other Sunset Plaza places

Le Petit Four is one of the best restaurants on the Sunset Plaza part of the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. Me and a friend go here every few months. The food is fantastic and the ambience is casual with a hint of romantic (avoid the sidewalk seating). The cost is reasonable for the result. If you're picking upscale, give Le Petit Four a try.

You're definitely paying for the location when you come here. The service is practically non-existant and I think my waitress looked at all of her diners like they were death 90% of the time. The wine selection isn't bad, and the food itself is good, just not worth what you are paying for it. The bread shouldn't even be served because it's just bad. The pastas and salads are good, and the duck isn't bad either. The desserts are all disappointing. All in all, come here for a glass of wine and small meal. It's a nice place to just hangout with friends.

Pros: Pasta dishes, wine selection, ambience

Cons: dessert and service

We’ve been going to this place for over five years now and we all (me and my friends) used to love it. However, for the last year it appears that this place is going from very good to not so good and now into the bad one. Kitchen has been sloppy, and now the hostess won’t do her job, she is behaving unprofessionally, she is rude and offensive. When you spend about 100 bucks for one couple – you expect some level of appreciation form the people that have been paid. I think the reason for those changes is that the manager doesn’t care about the customer satisfaction any more, they are apparently on the very good spot and they have probably think that they’ll have enough traffic through their restaurant even if people leave it unsatisfied. We are really considering stopping our patronage for good! Upset customer

Pros: location, atmosphere

Cons: service!

We came, in, the hostess was extremely nice and helpful, i thought we were off to a good start. The seating was very crowded inside (outside was too hot) and we got to sit right next to these hollywood-esque actress type girls that talk about how cute boys were and doing their nails. pretty disturbing. The bread was stale and despite how hungry we were we gave up on it.. anyway, our server(older asian woman) was the opposite of helpful so we flagged down another waitress who was kind enough to recommend some items. Our server took down the order. fast. And left. fast.. and avoided our table, didn't ask how anything was, and the nice busser did just about everything. We did enjoy the food, my date had a pasta with mushrooms and other veggies that was the perfect dish.. Bottom line, the food was enjoyable, but some of the kind hardworking staff was compensating for what the lazy ones didn't want to take care of.,... which never looks good. Nor does a little hollywood brat talking about her hair-do nearly putting her purse in my lap because of the bunched up tables.

Pros: good pasta, parking in back, sweet hostess

Cons: bad server.

I took my boyfriend there for dinner for his birthday. We were going to be in the area anyway because i also bought him tickets to Norah Jones at the Greek theater that night, which was absolutely amazing. We always pass this restaurant driving down sunset, so i though we would give it a try. To start things off we ordered the calamari appetizer, which we devoured.........sooooo good. For our entrees i ordered a pasta dish with shrimp, which was very good, on the other hand my boyfriend ordered the chicken sandwich which was dry and tasteless in his opinion. Be sure that you know that the waiters are not overbearing and the meal is not rushed in any way, so relax and enjoy your meal. We were stuffed and could not fit in a dessert, but WOW is all i can say. The dessert platter looks like a menu of its own. I would definitely recommend this place, just steer clear of the chicken sandwich.

Pros: people watching, pasta, calamari, bread w/ butter.......

Cons: a convertible six series parked next to us was vandalized.....cloth top sliced open :0(
