Cutest servers
by AlexTitian at Citysearch
I've been to this place many times and it's always a good experience. My friend and I were served by this CUTE guy from Argentina who was extremily friendly and gave us excellent service. Felt good to tip him! :)
Does this place NEED another glowing review - YES!

I work probably 2 miles from this place in WEHO - and while our lunch options are really limited this place ROCKS. I can honestly say that my coworkers and I order from here at least once a week because the menu is absolutely HUGE!
So far I have had the classic grill (chicken, black beans, rice, plantains and salsa), the chicken lasagna (OMFG - so good) and the Bossa salad with sea bass - all enormous portions - all excellent.
In short - I think we'll be ordering from here for a while - a good lunch find is priceless - and this place certainly fits the bill when it comes to tasty food, good delivery guys and decent lunch pricing when considering the portion size.
Five stars because the delivery is never late, the food is always yummy and everything seems very fresh.
- Pros: Good portion size, decent pricing, delivery a big plus, great lunch options, special lunch pricing
- Cons: none
Nothing special for something different

Bossa Nova sounds good, but so far every time I've gone I've walked away satisfied but not impressed. I'm not particular familiar with Brazilian cuisine, so maybe I've just been choosing the wrong items for my palate but after half a dozen times I'm just not getting the appeal. Outside seating is definitely preferable as indoors is dark but not in any romantic way. Well, not dark, but not really warm and bright. Anyway, I'll go with friends if they love Brazilian but it's not going to be my first recommendation any day.
Laidback & Tasty!
by ladyvenice at Citysearch
Up the street from a few pretentious Hollywood hot-spots, I find the delicious haven of Brazillian cuisine to be a true refreshing delight. I suggest going for the most interesting sounding dishes--Brazillian cuisine is truly wonderful, and you can't go wrong here, so goo for something unique.
It is always crowde because of the prime West Hollywood location, sometimes the patrons a re a bit rowdy because they just got out of a bar, or are perhaps going to one. Sometimes the service suffers a bit because of this factor, but I don't blame Bossa Nova entirely for that, though they should accomodate the clientele as best as possible.
Parking is a toughie-- I try to avoid weekend night and I can usually find parking at that park on San Vicente, or on Almont just one block West.
- Pros: Great unique food, worth all the cons!
- Cons: Parking is a hassle on weekend, croowded
Authenticity in L.A.
by principesam at Citysearch
A while back I was visiting family & friends in L.A., Being from NY one always must try new places. I was there for a month, all I kept stumbling upon were over rated fusion joints! No authenticity anywhere! Low and behold, a great friend of ours mentioned that we try this restaurant by his place. I could not get over the decor, but the FOOD was yummy! My next visit wouldn't be complete without round 2! May I also highly recommend something on the menu.
Bolinho de Bacalhau
A Brazilian speciality -cod fish croquetes deep fried Delicious!!!!!!!!!!!
- Pros: Reasonable price for great Food
Bring your appetite to this lively and casual WeHo eatery that attracts fun crowds and post-club revelers with monster-size American-Brazilian dishes.

The Scene
It's all about the outdoor people-watching at this popular boys' town eatery. On any given night, crowds converge on the lot's plastic green tables and chairs as a handful of young delivery guys briskly make their rounds for the restaurant's robust delivery service.
The Food
Brazilian herbs and spices infuse pasta dishes, sandwiches and salads that are doled out in portions big enough to feed a small village. Coxinha--a cone-shaped pocket of deep fried dough filled with tender shreds of chicken and cream cheese--is a worthy starter. Citrus marinated flat-pounded chicken breast, steak and seafood are complemented by soft and buttery-sweet plaintains while pasta entrees come with a choice of noodle. Carbonara is a smoky burst of flavor that is best paired with the delicately textured gnocchi. Even side orders--such as the deliciously creamy mashed potatoes--are almost meals in themselves.
Hits: Service is friendly and knowledgeable, the food is fresh, and the prices are very wallet-friendly.
Misses: Parking, parking, parking. Located directly across the street from fellow perennial favorite The Abbey, finding a nearby reasonably priced spot is a real challenge.
THE BEST!

- Cons: ?
Great food but HORRIBLE service
by jamesam at Citysearch
This restaurant is wonderfully located, but the decor is absolutely awful, with plastic tables and plastic chairs right next to each other. This is definitely not the best place for a date!
The service is pretty bad, the waiters are almost nonexistent, we waited almost as long for our drinks than for our meal!!!
However the food is REALLY good and very reasonably priced. I like their cuisine and would go back even though I would certainly recommend the one on Sunset where the service is relatively better.
- Pros: FOOD
- Cons: SERVICE? DECOR

I am from Brazil and miss brazilian food greatly... I am always looking for that seazoning that brings me closer to home... I went to Bossa Nova for the first time last week and was blown away by the great food and great atmosphere. Bossa Nova is a GREAT restaurant and if you want the real taste of our culture, that is the place to go. LOVE IT!!
- Pros: GREAT FOOD!!
- Cons: Only one restroom.
