The waitress took too long in taking my order. Too long in having my food on the table. I paid with my check card. I kept it open for a next beer. Time to go. She lost my card. After 10 minutes she recovered it. No apologies, nothing. The place is loud as hell, trashy people, greasy food, classless ambience. I guess this is what americans like. I will never come back.

i'd probably never normally choose to come here -- too sportsy and fratty for me, but sometimes i've gone w/a work group. it's good for happy hour and greasy fried stuff and beer if that's what you're in the mood for. sports fans like it. lots of history.
Pros: happy hour, cheap
Cons: too fratty, greasy food

The Beanery in West Hollywood is a bit of a walk from my workplace but well worth it. They have nearly unlimited choices on the menu, enough so that I could find healthy choices when in the mood. Service is good too, and the beer selection is awesome. During the day, it's pretty easy to get a table. I imagine that's different at night, but I've never been so won't speak to it. The food is prepared in hearty portions and most items are quite good. Surprisingly, even their veggies are tasty. I'd recommend a stop at Barney's for some good stuff.

My friends and I used to hang here ALL the time...and you know what we realized???? You see the SAME faces over and over and over. The bartender Michelle, she totally rocks...make friends with her...cuz she is a great POURER!!! The guys who work security can sometimes be a little much. Its Barneys man...why is there a need for 4 or 5 security guys who all they do is sit around flirting with the cute girls who get it. If you're cute and your female, you usually won't have to wait in line. But if you're a dude, and there's a line, you're screwed... We have run in to our fair share of celebs here. Mostly famous dudes...but it was cool.
Pros: Good bartenders when you can get to them....celeb spottings
Cons: Too crowded stupid security guys.

Barney's is probably a little too famous for its own good. While they do have EVERY single sporting event on their numerous TVs, it is difficult to get the employees to change the channel during busy times. I was part of a group of SIU and Arkansas fans surrounding a TV during the NCAA tourney and they changed most of the TVs to UCLA or USC, including ours. I get that we are in LA and there are not swarms of SIU or Arkansas people around, but we had a decent sized group and they wouldn't switch back to our game for us. Just one TV in the whole bar with our game please! That is all we want. They tried to shove us into a corner with a tiny little TV, and leave USC on our regular sized screen. We stood our ground and eventually got our way. Also, for all of your NFL fans out there... They will not let less than 4 people occupy large booths until after the first quarter is over. They will make you stand and let multiple booths sit empty until the first quarter is over. They do this for both the early and later games. It is completely retarded, not to mention irritating. We ended up walking up to strangers who were for the opposing team and asking them if they wanted to sit with us so we would have a group of four. It was fine, but still a little bit of a weird policy. So if you want to watch a certain game get there early to stake your claim. They have a great and very extensive variety of beers. Their mixed drinks are so so; I would stick to the very eclectic and international beer list. The food is typical pub fare. Greasy, not healthy, but all and all not bad and what you would expect at a sport's bar? It is nice that they have breakfast since so many of the football games are on so early on the west coast. The wait staff is not the most attentive, but I have only been there when they have been completely slammed. Price is pretty average.
Pros: EVERY game is on at Barney's! Lots of beer.
Cons: VERY busy, problems getting a seat near your teams TV

Little bit of everything from video games to pool to karaoke - Good crowd and not really a "meat market" but they DO have some very good looking women. It is just a casual and comfortable joint to grab some good "pub grub", drink a beer and enjoy friends.
Pros: All kinds of entertainment, not a meat market
Cons: Too much going on sometimes

This is my favorite dive bar/restaurant in Los Angeles. Everytime i go back I make it a point to go here. You think Cheesecake Factory has an extensive menu? You have no idea..but let me try to give you one..12 different Pancake combos to choose from. 17 Waffle Combos, 11French Toast combos, 72 Egg/omelette variations, 16 potato skin variations, those are just "breakfast skins" non breakfast, add 40 more choices to that. 86 Burgers to choose from.. need I go on??? Seriously there is something for EVERYONE! I had a shrimp & pesto pizza which was perfect. You will NEVER be disappointed here! Oh.. fun fact.. the Hollywood location is rumored to be John Lennon's drinking hold whenever he and Yoko would have a falling out.

I've been to Barney's a number of times with friends after work. This is a good spot for shooting pool, drinking a few beers and having a bite to eat while shooting the breeze. Good crowd that enjoys the atmosphere and doesn't take itself to seriously.

My boyfriend and I just moved to West Hollywood from Colorado. We live around the block from Barney's. Barney's is such a nice next door neighbor bar. There are pool tables, air hockey and other games you can play. The food is fine and they have TONS of beer on tap. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to hangout with their friends or is looking for a place to watch a sports game. The TVs are small but the atmosphere is great.
Pros: Fun atmosphere
Cons: Small TVs

This place used to be great.locals came in during happy hour and it was one of the last straight bars in west Hollywood.where the girls WERE girls! then it got sold by the second owner to the owners of Q's and they have tried to turn into a franchise, a sportsbar and restaurant. the food was always horrific and they have improved on that with edible pizza but i mean just barely edible. the management staff is efficient and tries to keep it happening and polite but the waitress are just plain rude.like they are doing you a favour. bringing you slop on a plate.thanks. the motto always was "Barney's..dont eat the food .you'll k*ll yourself" and you can actually still remain alive after a meal.but alive just enough to amble up to the bar and have a snotty little bartender act like she were a goddess and you were taking valuable oxygen.whats more they are short and look like viet cong refugees when I visit LA we go to red rock instead.at least its got appetizers and an occasional decent chic.barneys franchise is the worst. Its a shame to take a place that WAS so famous and ruin it..the atmosphere has changed .the regulars are stiffs and its just lousy rubble all the way Pros..Not going there at all cons. tasting absolutly anything they drag out
Pros: no one has a to go there.
Cons: deplorable service and disgusting food.
