Their online ordering website is not set up to correctly calculate shipping. However, they ship quickly and any payment issues that may arise are well handled.

great chocolate and wine selections

You have to visit. They usually have wine tastings on Sat. nights. They actually have a Library of Chocolate. Don't forget to take a look in their new wine room.
Gourmet Candy from around the Globe

If you don't feel like the madness and the models at Fred Segal's Cafe, walk just a few blocks down to Mel & Rose, they have a great deli in this bodega. Reminds me of New York, you can just order your tasty freshly made lasagne over the counter and pick up some German chocolates, Japanese Sodas and English Marmite on your way out. You can also dine on their small balcony outside, the food will be hot, the portions large and the price won't make you cry.
- Pros: Pasta, Variety of Worldwide Teas, Chocolates
EPICUREAN PARADISE
by camelot2652 at Citysearch
I love this place. They are so friendly and have the best deli and gourmet food in this side of Los Angeles. I love to shop on Melrose and walk to Marc Jacobs & Mel and Rose is my favorite stop. I highly recommend there wine tastings and if you like to shop for some gourmet foods, coffee, California, Spanish, Italian wines this is the place. They have a cute retail cafe and parade of seasonal confections; gift catalogues present specialty wine, meats, baskets and all sort of goodies.
- Pros: GREAT SELECTION, LICORICE, WINE
- Cons: VERY BUSY
European Wine, Gourmet food & Gift Baskets
by ashleyjoon at Citysearch
A great addition to Melrose Ave. this shop is the perfect place to stock up on gourmet delicacies from all over the world or more likely-- get your lunch. Filled with super high-end groceries and wines, Mel and Rose is a great part of West Hollywood City. This Wine/ Specialty Food / cafe also offers a great patio dinning & coffee bar and is conveniently located within walking distance of the enjoyable Marc Jacobs & lots of great botiques on Melrose. They offers sandwiches, salads, prepared foods, and gourmet groceries. My favorite thing they do is the Wine Tasting & Classes they have. It is a great place to mingle and sip wine! This place reminds me of Europe. There is a beautiful wine room adjacent to the store in front. They did the most incredible basket with personalized card! Highly recommended.
- Pros: great selection, great service, wine tasting
- Cons: crowded
Good selection, small space, not great service.

Nice market, but the inventory crowds the space! These guys have a great selection of gourmet teas and imported chocolates as well as other rare epicurean gift items. They also have a nice gift basket selection, better than most. However, the service is not that friendly - when i was there i asked them to make up a wine basket and the man told me that because they were one hour away from closing, he wouldn't be able to because he needed to clean up and close the store! How long does it take to make a wine basket? So I ended up buying a few items which cost less than the basket - he made less of a sale but i guess he was free to sit behind the counter for 45 more minutes. I would say to buy on the Web site, but the site isn't that usable.
- Pros: Great Selection, Nice Wine Baskets
- Cons: Small Store, Hard To Find Parking, Unusable Web Site
