Great flowers and even friendlier staff
by ejhoppe
I have been ordering from the Empty Vase for over two years and have never had a bad experience. The flowers are always refresh, the designs are never generic, and the staff bends over backwards to help me EVERY SINGLE TIME! People posting bad reviews about them are not being completely honest. Maybe these people aren't realizing that this is probably the busiest florist in Los Angeles...every time I am in there, the sales girls are running around, answering 6 phone lines and dealing with customers in the shop. I will continue to use this florist and refer every one of my friends to them...I never even have to give specific instructions...I trust them whole heartedly. Thank you Empty Vase!
- Pros: Fresh, creative designs. Prompt delivery. Friendly staff
- Cons: None I know of
Worst Service Ever
by laguna11
The store needs to give its salesperson lessons in customer service. I had the worst service ever. One salesperson in particular- I believe her name was Ally- could have been the snottiest salesperson ever. I will never go back to this florist if I can avoid it.
The WORST - Ruined my entire Sunday and now I have to hear it Monday morning, too... thanks.

I had placed an order for my boss for a Mother's Day delivery a week in advance to be delivered the day BEFORE Mother's Day and it never made it. Even worse, I called the day before it was to be delivered to confirm their order and that they had the correct address, etc... AND also confirmed that it had been delivered the day after. They said "yes". Well, it never made it. I am the one who looks bad and is on the receiving end of this f*&k up and the constant sighs and hemming and hawing cus ya'll messed up and because I chose to use your services. What more could I have done to make this an easy order for you people??????? Make it and deliver it myself or use another company, probably. Thanks guys. Thanks a bunch. Nice way to start my Monday.

wrong flowers, terrible customer service, replacement sent to the wrong address, then no refund!
by jnuprising
I ordered a lovely arrangement of tulips and orchids a couple of weeks in advance for my fiancee's birthday. the flowers were delivered on time, but they were wrong. red roses instead of orange tulips. I specifically asked for tulips because my fiancee is slightly allergic to roses. She called to thank me for the flowers, but asked why they were roses, knowing full well i wouldn't have requested them.
I called Empty Vase back and after a bit of hassle, finally got the point across and they scheduled a replacement to be sent out and the roses picked up. Hours later the replacement flowers still hadn't arrived, so I called back. Apparently the REPLACEMENT flowers were sent with another arrangement for someone with the same name to a wrong address in Santa Monica (we are in Hollywood!).
So I was told the replacements could not be delivered that day because of their error, and would have to wait until the morning. At this point I asked for a refund. I was called back shortly thereafter, but instead of promptly being given the refund, I had to explain the situation again, to a 4th person mind you, who then requested to call me back before issuing it. I was called back only to be told that the owner wanted the replacements to be sent instead of issuing the refund.
This was a birthday gift, so obviously that was going to not be acceptable, so I said no, I'd like a refund, at which point they demanded that the original flowers sent needed to be picked up before they could issue it. So after all this trouble, not even a "we're sorry! keep the wrong flowers we sent you! very sorry!". They had to come TAKE THE NOW WILTING FLOWERS BACK BEFORE THEY'D ISSUE A REFUND! To top it off, it's been over 11 days and the refund still hasn't been issued. when I called today to inquire? The woman was "gone for the day" and her "voicemail is full" so I wasn't even able to leave her a message. All this hassle just to order some tulips for my fiancee's birthday?

flowers with an attitude...a bad one
by poptarts
Lame customer service with an attitude. It would be easy to find an equally excellent florist to take my money.
Beautiful flowers, superb customer service - you can't beat it!

I have been ordering from thses guys for years - they are second to none! I have always been treated like a celeb (even though I'm not) and they have always delivered my arrangements on time. They are always accomodating, if there's something that isn't available they choose great substitutes. My boss loves them and the people we've sent arrangements to - whether they are clients, family or friends - have been impressed. In the past 5 years I have never ordered from another florist - because I know that Empty Vase will accomodate me in every way possible. If anyone has a bad experience with these guys - then you're not telling the whole truth.
- Pros: Customer service, selection, quality, timeliness
- Cons: none that I have experienced
Empty Vase, Empty Promises!!!
by globetraveler1973
I had ordered a custom arrangement for delivery for a very special occasion. The IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT was that it had to be delivered and received no later than 6:00pm. I was calling to place the order around 12:00pm noon that day. I stated that if they cannot GUARANTEE delivery by 6:00pm, then I will find another florist that can GUARANTEE the delivery deadline of 6:00pm. The clerk told me that it will be delivered by 6:00pm if not earlier 100% GUARANTEED. The custom arrangement DID NOT arrive at or before 6:00pm. I called the store to inquire about my order. To my surprise, they told me that my order is not due for delivery until 7:00pm. I gave them my details including the 100% guarantee of a 6:00pm delivery. All they could say was, I will try to call the delivery guy and see where he is at and I will call you back if I have enough time. 7:00pm came and still no delivery and no courtesy phone call back to update me on the status of the delivery. I tried to call the store again around 7:00pm, but the store was now closed for the day. The reason I told the first clerk taking my order for the no later than 6:00pm delivery was that the person receiving the custom arrangement had a surprise dinner engagement to attend at 7:00pm and was then off to Laguna Beach right after dinner for a quick vacation. So it was imperative that the arrangement be delivered by 6:00pm or else he will not be home for another 5 days. Not only did we not receive the flowers on time or anywhere near the 100% GUARANTEED 6:00pm delivery, we ended being extremely late for the surprise dinner engagement and he did not get to see the flowers until his return 5 days later. I usually use My Secret Garden Florist in Hollywood, but they did not have the specific type of flowers I needed. They have never lied to me or promise me things that they cannot deliver on. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Empty Vase to anyone. Empty Vase is full of EMPTY PROMISES!!! BUYER BEWARE!
- Pros: None
- Cons: Does Not Deliver On Time, Poor Customer Service, Just Looking To Close A Sale
Chichi West Hollywood florist focuses on innovative topiaries and elegant arrangements.
by Contributor
In Short
Somewhere between Architectural Digest and Martha Stewart Living stands Empty Vase. There are orchids and lilies and cabbage roses in abundance, but no prefab arrangements. Staffers have style to spare and for the right price will cater to their clients' every whim. The most popular creations are generous bowls of tightly packed roses punctuated with hydrangeas and lemon leaves. The topiary is the other house specialty, ranging from $99 little piggies to a $7,000 30-foot dinosaur.
Amazing Customer Service
by metronyla
The Chateau Marmont recommeded this place, and I absolutely adore the floral arrangements they make. More often than not, I've had to order floral arrangements for friends while I'm on the East Coast, and every person I've ever sent them to has raved about what they recieved. I highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a florist in Los Angeles.
- Pros: Customer Service, Quality of Arrangements
- Cons: They don't have a store in NYC
Beautiful Arrangements!

Live in the neighborhood, but hadn't shopped here...until a co-worker received the most beautiful arrangement from a client created by this Florist! Now I don't shop anywhere else!
