Pleasant Stay
by hsla at Citysearch
I am a local, and my parents (who are from out of state) stayed here for a second time this past weekend. They were once again so pleased with their experience that I wanted to write a review just to let people know what a superb hotel this is. The rooms have lots of space (my parents got a studio instead of the larger rooms this time and were still just as happy). The restaurant appears to be a low-key place where a lot of people go to make business deals without the hype of "being seen." I found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and willing to go the extra mile if you alerted them to a problem. (My parents called down for wash cloths and were brought 10 of them). The only thing I noticed was that valet could be a little slow -- they might need more backup -- and I hate writing that just because they were so nice. However, that area could be improved. I know I will recommend this hotel to all my out-of-town guests in the future.
- Pros: Know how to treat their guests.
The General Manager should be fired
by wparker99 at Citysearch
After booking many events and weddings and reccomending this hotel to over 2000 people over the years. We were presented with a problem with the bride and groom and the general manager was not accomidating or helpful in any way.
He was yelling a screaming and refused( good customer service...huh?) to help us with parking some of the bride's friends cars and also was talking over me the entire conversation.
VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
I WILL NEVER RECCOMEND THIS HOTEL AGAIN.
With the amount of money they charge you would think they would hire a better GM to handle last minute issues and try to help in figuring out resolutions rather than causing more of a problems. He refused to park 7 cars of which were friends of the Bride.
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GREAT HOTEL IN WEST HOLLYWOOD FOR THE SAME PRICE STAY AT THE ORLANDO. THEY HAVE A WONDERFUL STAFF AN AMAZING GM AND THEY WILL RENDER ANY ISSUES YOU MAY HAVE.
- Cons: General Manager
A secluded and unpretentious small-scale hotel.

The Scene
This relatively unknown boutique hotel indulges its loyal clientele with suites the size of small apartments and a low-key, no attitude environment. At the same time, staying here doesn't mean sacrificing big hotel amenities and a great location. This hidden oasis is located in a residential neighborhood just steps from galleries, cafes and boutiques.
The Details
Stylish split-level suites offer contemporary decor in muted hues of beige. The hotel's crowning asset is its rooftop sundeck and pool area, which is flanked by white-and-navy striped chaise lounges. Also on the lush rooftop patio is a fabric cabana that shelters a secluded restaurant and bar, perfect for nighttime candlelit dinners served against the backdrop of the Hollywood Hills.
What a Special Find

Found this hotel on expedia and stayed for two nights -- rooms were extra large and we got a remodeled suite with every amenity you might expect. Payed $185.00 per night -- great value. The restaurant was first rate -- a hidden jewel. Be sure to have the smoked salmon quesadillas -- they are out of this world. Also, the pool and view of the Hollywood Hills is amazing. We walked to Santa Monica Blvd., then up to Sunset and had coffe at Urth Cafe. Great location and great staff. Everyone was friendly including the two bell staff who said they've been with the hotel for over 15 years! Can't wait to come back again.
- Pros: Extra Large Rooms, Pool and Tennis Court, Gym
Never Again

When we arrived I asked for help with our bags from the valet/bell desk. The guy picked them up off the curb (I had to get them out of the car) and placed them 3 stairs down outside the lobby. We are both capable women but since I asked for help I thought I was going to get it. The hallways smelled musty but the room smelled ok. I was expecting fruit in our room because it is listed as an amenity but no such thing was found. The room was large but needs renovation, the bathroom especially needed help. The wall shook and made an awful noise when we took our showers, when I mentioned it to the front desk he said they'd look into it (right!), It wasn't just our room it was everybodies. The fireplace didn't work either. I am glad we weren't there long.
- Pros: Large Room, Close to Everything
- Cons: Needs Lots of Work, Staff
