In 1920, Edward Durwood opened a single-screen picture house in Kansas City, Mo. Over the next 40 years, his company went on to pioneer the use of four- and six-screen theaters. In 1969, the company incorporated as American Multi-Cinema Inc. in honor of its signature multiplexes. Now, the company is known for theaters with 14 or more screens, as well as innovations such as armrests with built-in cup holders, stadium seating with LoveSeats, ATM-style ticketing and online ticket purchasing.

Magic Pretty Good Theatre

I agree with mrsdee in that if your an older person, and don't want the crowds, go for the matinee. Lots of kids later, plus the matinee is cheaper. They really need more employees at the concession stands. The lines can be long in the evenings. I have never gone in the evenings, always at the matinee.

The concession stand needs a Pop Corn/Hot Dog/Soda combo. They have Nacho/Pop

Corn/Soda combo, why not Hot Dog

• Pros: Real Close to home, Free good parking, Close to mall
• Cons: Concession stand poor, show time starts, crowded in evenings

I love magic's

Magic's staff is great! It close to home and keeps community money in the community. It is always clean. If you're older go for the matinee. Lots of kids in the evening.

This is the worst theatre next to the Huntington Park theaters.

The Magic Johnson Theatre is so Comfortable, the seats are made for all body types, and they recline. The kids love the little seats that raise them up.
