Buyer's Beware! Never back order with Video Only. Never pay for it with your Mastercard! I purchased a Samsung Duo Format Bluray/HD DVD player from Video Only in Bellevue. $544.49 on my Mastercard. I was informed that it was on back order, but, that it would be in next week and that I could pick up with no problems at their Tukwila location which is closer to my home. After waiting another week and getting numerous reasons from both stores on why it had not yet arrived, the salesman from Tukwila told me the truck was unable to pass through the Snoqualmie Pass! That was a lie! there was no snow preventing it, I checked! After a few more days I inquired about a full refund back on my credit card. They ,Tukwila told me I had to go back to Bellevue to process it. Another lie! When I called Bellevue the salesman tried to sell me the LG version telling me he had documented proof that the LG was a better product in the first place. Well my question is this why didn't he sell me that one instead when I was originally making my purchase? Oh yeah...I remember that was on back order too! When I told him I just wanted a refund he told me come in with the original receipt. When I did, the store again tried to sell me the LG which was now in stock. When I refused and had informed them that I has already purchased the Samsung from BestBuy even though it was $100.00 more that was the end of the converstaion, literally. He did not say another single word to me! He just handed my my new receipt and that was it. Now Buyer's BEWARE!! I processed that refund in that store over a week ago and it still has NOT been credited back to my Mastercard. I called Video Only this morning and they now informed me that it may take from 6-8 weeks for the refund to be reflected! My credit card payment is due in 2 weeks. NEVER Back order from Video Only and only pay cash! Don't open the box either or you only get a store credit. Read your receipt. I will never set foot in their store again! BEWARE!
Pros: Simple Store
Cons: Back order/ bait and switch tactics

My wife and I bought a 50' Plasma TV at the Video only Tukwila store in December o7. We were told if we find a better price on it to bring in the information and they would make up the difference. We did that and of course we got the run around from the store manager. We had the competing company call video only (different store) he asked for the criterion. They qualified. We again approached the store manager and we found out that he is a LIAR. He did not contact that company and he lied about doing so. Now our next purchase is going to be a blueray and a bose surround sound system and I would gladly pay more for it than to deal with this LIAR. The Tukwila manager is decietful, a LIAR and Totally dishonest. Good luck if you trust this guy.

I have to tell you from experience that Video Only's management and staff take great pains in making sure they're knowledgeable. They subscribe to electronics magazines, read endless articles and reports, and have a real dedication to learning their product and the products of their competitors. They also take the time to gather pertinent articles that do assist in the sale, but they also prove the quality of the product. It is natural for a salesperson to be manipulative. The good part is that the products that they're trying to manipulate you to buy happen to be rated well for reliability, features, or price. In regard to the competition, they don't make much money. You can't expect professionalism or knowledge. It's not their fault. For them it's just a job. The product VO's competition carries most always is the lower model of the same looking equipment. And now, the return policy...no, it's not a convenient return policy. Who wants to wait up to thirty days to get their money back? This store is not geared toward those kind of people. It's geared toward real buyers. Think about this. The salesman spent a lot of time with you to determine the right equipment. He showed care, in most circumstances, in finding the right fit for your space. He may have come up with some sort of discount(which comes out of his commission)to earn your business that day. I can't stress enough that if you are one of those people who like to return things, you shouldn't be buying electronics at all. No store is going to give you a full refund. Not even Costco anymore! The others charge a minimum if a 15% restocking fee. To summarize, you should buy from Video Only if you are a true buyer. Not some scumbag who likes to waste people's time and then refund the product. If that's what you want, shop online. Salesmen are a dying breed, and it's reallly hard to find a place that knows what they're talking about anymore or who has pride in what he/she does.
Pros: Highly qualified sales people. The product is all of the top rated stuff.
Cons: Not too many people know about it.

A while back I went looking to spend $1500 on a TV only to have their sales person at first ignore me and then use his amazing skills of sizing people up to determine that he had to talk down to me, as if I was idiot for assuming I ever knew the first thing about a TV. When I asked questions he didn't have answers for he obviously made sh*t up or wasted a lot of time fumbling around rather than admit he didn't know. The only positive remarks are coming from their dim witted shills who actualy capitalized the first letter of each word under "Pros", and then they have the nerve to discredit the customers they f*cked, simply amazing. Their sales people are slimy and these fake positive reviews confirm a pattern. They even have some insulting explanation on their two dollar website about why they don't do online retail, which which says that being worked over by their psychological warfare is a vital part of their business model, not their pricing. Avoid at all costs or ! .... Their neareast competitors don't even come close to having these issues.
Pros: lots of parking
Cons: all of the above

To those that feel Video Only gave them great service and a great price at the time of purchase you have been duped. I purchased a 52" JVC within the last 18 months. In addition, I purchased a service contract in which the representation was made " it covers everything" except physical damage. I was very happy the first several months. However, when my television started to have a problem I contacted video only for service. They directed me to a 800 number. Long story short, I was told that it sounded like the bulb and they would fix it but wanted me to know that it would only be replaced once regardless of the length of contract. I found this odd because this was not a provision communicated to me when I made the purchase. I called back to video only and asked if this was in fact true. I was literally told it was part of the "fine print" of the contract. Of course this was not communicated to me at the time of purchase.....as if I would have asked if bulbs were covered! I asked if I could come to the store to pick up a copy of the service contract. I was told they don't keep any of the service contracts in the store and I would have to call GE to get a copy. Shame on me for not asking for a copy at the time of purchase...even though I would not have been able to get one. Shame on Video Only for selling service contracts and representing them as total coverage when in fact they are not. When I called to speak to someone in their corporate offices I was told that they were privately owned and the owner is not avaiable to speak to customers. I have never written a letter of complaint to a company before nor have I ever posted a complaint on the internet before. I challenge anyone reading this to get proof of what a Video Only service contract covers from one of their stores. You won't! You have to take their word for what is covered and their word is not truthful. So I now have a televison with 2 1/2 years of warranty left on it in which some items are not warranted!
Cons: Sleazy sales tactics. Don't stand behind their promise of service.

We purchased 2 plasmas, 2 wall brackets, a DVD player, and cables all from Video Only. George gave excellent service and is a knowledgeable salesman. We paid cash for our purchase via a debit card and personal check. We brought all items home, mounted 1 plasma and realized we did not have a need for the 2nd plasma. Went back to Video Only with receipt and unopened plasma in tow, all for the store manager to tell me that he cannot accept my return since the box had been opened. FACT: We NEVER opened the box. He accused me of using some metal clips from Home Depot to rebox the unit and cardboard strapping tape which all are uncharacteristic of Hitachi Manufacturing. I vehemently told him we did not open the box, period. He treated me like a criminal, like I was a liar and I have never in my life been treated like a 2nd class citizen nor been accused as blatantly as I was at Video Only. They're your best friend when your handing them your cold hard cash but the minute you want to return something for your money back, they become satan himself. Twisting your words, standing in judgement of you it was the most unbelievable experience. How was I to know that the box VO loaded onto my vehicle was not a factory sealed box---it was the box they gave me which was strapped with white strapping material & silver clasps . How would I have known that the way it was packaged was suspect? The regional manager agreed to open the 'sealed' box to confirm what was inside. Think about it, what if they opened the box and it was NOT the Hitachi I paid for, then I would be the one who was out because that would mean Video Only pulled a bait and switch on me. It was the shadyist business tactic. They were trying to bully me and convince me I did something wrong so they wouldn't have to reimburse me! In the end: they accepted the box and plasma as new and unopened and realized it was Hitachi, not me who packaged the box in a non-ordinary manner. Buyer BEWARE!
Pros: None
Cons: Terrible Customer Service!

I bought a 2 plasma televisions from Video Only, one with the matching tv stand built specifically for the tv. The stand was damaged with gouges and scratches. I took it back to the store. They told me they would not replace it. I would need to contact the company directly for replacement parts. After contacting the company, it took over two months and numerous phone calls to get undamaged parts. Video Only was not willing to help me. In the future, I'd rather pay a little more to get better customer service. Obviously Video Only's policy is that once the sale is made, you're not worth their time.

The only people who write poor reviews about Video Only either work for a competing Electronics "We Charge Too Much" Store, or a Con Artist who is mad about not getting their usual "Something For Nothing" because Video Only isn't an expensive "Mall Store", thereby not giving full returns after 6 months of Free Plasma TV viewing! (Oh yeah!...there even 1 month Free Plasma TV people who do nothing but go from store to store.) Look, you can't have "Don't be Sorry...Shop Around!" has a motto unless you can back up your BS. So don't listen to me or anybody else. If getting the lowest price on quality name-brand goods is important to you than you should compare store prices for yourself...you won't be sorry you did! The salesman at Video Only told me this after mentioning I read some of the negative commits posted here, so I took up his challenge and did a massive amount of comparison shopping. When the price investigative smoke finally clears, I will bet you anything that you end up buying at Video Only like me!
Pros: Awesome Prices! Smarter Sales Staff - Some of these guys reallly know thier stuff!
Cons: Not a big deal to use a Manufacture Return Policy - Which works just as well and keeps prices low.

We spent almost $3000 there. Yes, the prices are good but their service stinks. About 6 months after we bought a new TV, we had lines running through the screen. We went back to Video Only for help. They treated us very poorly. Finally we called the maker of the TV. We told them that we are having problems with Video Only and they said that they are getting a lot of complaints about them and that we are not the first to have problems with them. See, I misplaced the receipt, so Video Only corp had to fax a receipt to the Andover store for us. The Andover store is not giving us the receipt, saying they can't find it. This has been going on over a month now. Thank goodness for Toshiba. They have GREAT customer service and they are taking care of this for us. I will always by Toshiba products for now on.
Pros: Prices are good
Cons: customer service is terrible!
