So Helpful
by Jon Rapoport at Citysearch
It’s obvious to say that Tiffanys is expensive. But, what I was really surprised about was how helpful they were even though I wasn’t buying anything that day. I went into the store knowing nothing about diamonds. I left with a solid knowledge and a book to further study my potential purchase. There was zero pressure whatsoever. I ended up buying from a less expensive store, but I was armed with the knowledge gained at Tiffanys.
- Pros: Great location, Knowledgable
- Cons: $$$$
Engagement Ring
by Laserlemon at Citysearch
I went engagement ring shopping at Tiffany. A very exciting experience with all the sparkling rings in the show cases.
I've bought many silver jewelry there and was so happy with getting the blue box. But shopping for a Diamond Engagement ring was a little more intimidating as we were planning on spending $15,000.00 and wanted a good quality along with good value.
Tiffany has a lot of pre-set rings that look dazzling. But after checking the price compared to quality of diamond. I think you can do much better if you put some research and time into it.
We checked blue nile, zales, robbins brothers, and the Los Angeles Jewelry Distcict.
I love there silver jewelry collections but we ended up buying our ring from Robbins Brothers and Inta Gems in Downtown Los Angeles. Other places to take a look if you are looking for loose diamonds is KNC Diamonds, Oscars, and Facet.
Good Luck!
- Pros: High Quality, Nice Selection, Good Ambiance
- Cons: Price, Average Customer Service
Great Customer Service
by mkwku at Citysearch
No matter what Tiffany & Co. I have been to in CA they always have great customer service. Although it can get very busy around the holidays and a little hectic, but if you plan ahead you should have a great experince.
Home to the little blue box that represents classic style and impeccable taste.

In Short
From its legendary blue boxes to its ever-popular six-prong diamond solitaire engagement ring, Tiffany's is a staple (and lifelong dream) of every woman with a yen for fine jewelry. Although diamonds, emeralds and sapphires represent 70 percent of total sales, tableware, gifts and accessories are among the most popular sellers. (Bridal registry, anyone?) Pleasant and accommodating, the sales staff are refreshingly 'tude free, whether you're buying a $40 glass vase or a $40,000 diamond bracelet.

it did take awhile to get a salesperson's attention, but that's not why you go to place like the tiffany's on rodeo. it's a great experience- all the jewelry is beautiful and being in the store makes you feel like a celeb. i bought a beautiful ring and i wear it every day. worth the price.
Worth the Money

If you are going to invest your money in jewelry, fine china, or other accessories this is the place to go. I've bought a couple of bracelets and a necklace here, and I've been more than happy with the quality and durability of each piece. Beautiful, timeless, and classic...
- Pros: Free gift wrapping, Classics, Quality
- Cons: None
Nice but...
by hkygrl at Citysearch
Tiffany has nice jewelry. I especially like their silver pieces - they're good quality. BUT, you are paying for the name. It's a little ridiculous at how snooty people can be in their stores. Though I am sure they are well aware of who can shop there and who can't just by looking at a person, they should still be nice. After all, isn't the customer always right?
- Pros: nice selection, good quality, fancy brand
- Cons: over priced
