great sports/concert venue

I love going to the Staples Center whether it's for a concert or a basketball game. I went here for a Lakers vs. Kings game and our seats were relatively close to the court, and we had a pretty good view. The concessions food is a bit overpriced (but what sports arena isn't?), but I still love getting the hot dogs and the garlic fries! The parking can get really bad especially on a crazy game night. There'll be all these nearby individual lots which go from about $15.
- Pros: good views, huge arena
- Cons: parking, expensive

Smack dab in the heart of Downtown L.A. is the city's purple-glowing Staples Center. Opened in 1999, the venue is home to pro sports teams (Lakers, Clippers, Sparks, Kings, and Avengers) and stages major concerts by big-name music acts like Madonna, Justin Timberlake and yes, Miley Cyrus. Sure, the place is huge, but nearly every seat has a clear view, thanks in part to a steep vertical pitch. Luxury boxes, the exclusive Arena Club and the Humidor & Wine Room, cater to high-ranking execs and high-living sports enthusiasts.

This is an amazing facility. The luxury seats are true to name... luxurious. The accoustics are great for hearing that hard hockey check or that thunderous slam dunk. Along with being a great sporting venue, this is a great place to see a concert. And I am proud to say that I saw Wrestlemania 21 at Staples Center!
- Pros: State of the art facility
- Cons: Everything is pricey
bloodlet money, go to the staples center

This is an awesome place to go if you want to pay a great deal of money to park your car. Also, if you want to feel like a schmo and a schmuck all in the same 20 minutes, go buy a Hot Dog, and a beer after you've parked.
Great asset to L.A.

The Staples Center is great! The seats are all great...I have gone to see concerts and games and shows and it doesn't matter where I sit, the view is always great...the food is kinda expensive inside but what do u expect, its a main attraction, although the chicken nachos are not that bad! very tasty...then there are like a whole bunch of hot dog vendors after whatever u went for...the only thing i dont like about the Staples center is the entrance....the lines are never organized....its a hassle when going in
- Pros: good seating
- Cons: long,unorganized lines
best venue

Been to the Staples Center for Concerts, Laker Games and Arena Football and I'm always having a great time when I go there. Drink prices are definitely over priced, but when you're having fun, who cares! Seating is great, but watch out when you sit in the nose bleed section... feels like you're gonna fall!
Terrific Sports/Concert Venue

I've been to Staples Center at least 15 times in the last two and a half years for a variety of events. Everything from basketball to hockey to concerts and I've sat in the fourth row, premiere seating, luxury suite and the last row. This is a fantastic venue! Inside the amenities are all top notch, food and drinks are varied and high quality. The atmosphere outside before a game is electric. If you go to see a Lakers game make sure to avoid sections 306-308 if possible. 307 is where the very annoying high school band sits. They play the same monotonous drum beat on every possession to encourage "Defense". It gets old after about 2 minutes and doesn't stop till the end of the game!!!
- Pros: Great seating, Great amenities, Easy Parking

This venue really doesn't have a bad seat in the house. I've always have had a good seat. But honestly, the top row doesnt appear to far off. Come here for a hockey game and be blown away. You can actually hear the bones breaking, and the teeth dislodging! Parking is really quite hassle-free. The only disparaging word I have for this place is it's outrageous concession stand prices. About 9 bucks will get you a couple chicken tenders and a plate of fries. A normal size hot dog alone goes for $4. But you must expect them to pay for the overhead and building costs somehow. Definetaly worth the gouging!!!
