We went tonight, a Saturday, the dining area was empty - waited 10 to 15 minutes to be seated - asked three people to be seated - left irritated with no food because no one came to seat us. We love the food here, however very unimpressed with the service.

I brought my girlfriend here for a Friday night dinner after Valentine's day. I made reservations and the host immediately seated us on the outside patio. My girlfriend got chilly so they promptly moved us under a heat lantern without hesitation. The food was perfect. Huge portions and worth the hefty price. The wine list was excellent. Maybe a bit over priced. After dinner we had drinks at the bar and listened to some nice club music while watching the go-go dancers. She was impressed. The drinks and food are super pricey but you pay for it in atmosphere. Walking in this restaurant to the scent of incredible food and fragrant flowers can't be beat. Maybe our experience was better than most, but then again some people don't know what a non LA scenester night is about. Santa Monica snobby types should not go here. Cool people who want to have a good time should.

On January 19, 2008 our friends recently took us to dinner for a celebration dinner and allow me to say that your restaurant came highly recommended to us thus; we made reservation at your restaurant. Our visit did not turn out well. We arrived early for our reservation at 8:00pm to enjoy your bar and have time to get a booth. We were unable to get a booth at the time of seating which was a huge disappointment. That was just the beginning of a poor evening. Unfortunately, I find that I am no longer comfortable in your establishment because of the quality of food that was served to our party. I estimate that we spent more than $650 that evening at your restaurant/bar. I feel badly that my friends and I will no longer patronize your establishment, and we will not recommend it either. I am truly disappointed this is why I am writing to you. I feel it's a tragedy when a group goes out to celebrate and are served below average food at such a high price. Starting with the first course, the salads were over-priced for the un-uniqueness of the plate. For the main course the two racks of lamb were almost inedible because they were so fatty, and lastly the halibut was VERY over cooked and dried out. We commented to our waiter, but our concerns were not addressed. We felt terrible that our friends took us out to a fine dinning establish, and we received such poor quality of food. Our experience will be posted on local restaurant review. In a city like LA with a wide selection of fine dinning it is so disappointing to come across an experience like that one we had.

Honestly, this place was lacking in every category, and there are too many great restaurants in LA to justify patronizing this one. The waiter provided poor service and lacked even a basic knowledge of the menu, the food was absolutely average (but expensive), the corkage fee was $25, and the crowd was FULL of cougars. If you're a man on the hunt for cougars, this is the place for you! Try Mastros (Beverly Hills), Ocean Ave (Santa Monica), or even Houston's (Santa Monica) if you're looking for a nice steakhouse with great food and service.

Pros: Nice ambience

Cons: Service, price, food quality

Haters. I like the place. Yes, the staff can sometimes be rude and slow; but it's nowhere near as bad as some of these reviews make it out to be. It's one of the few places where you can actually go and dance on the Westside without having to share space with drunk frat brats. The go-go dancers are a great touch and the outdoor patio is a fun lively environment. Yes, you have to spend some cash here, but that's the point. It keeps out the riffraff. This isn't the place for free loaders; it's a spot for people who have the money to have a good time. If this isn't you then turn around and go back to Busby's.

We went to The Buffalo Club to celebrate my brothers birthday. It was out first time there... GOOD: The decor of the place really nice. We liked the fact that we were dinning under the stars. The female DJ was amazing, great music. Great food. The servers (bussboys) that brought us our food were very nice and helpfull (they need a raise) BAD: Even though we had reservations at 9:30pm, we got seated at 10:15pm. the place was packed (no room to move). Can't smokeout side in the patio? No room to dance. Food was a bit pricey. Our waiter (scott, i think) was very rude. He gave us the bill right after our last bit. He circled our table like a hawk. Approached us 5 times to check if he could take payment from us. we kept telling him that we weren't ready cause the rest of our party were enjoying themselves on the dance-floor. he kept telling us that he wanted to end his shift and "get out of here". We were trying to be patient ad polite but he was being a annoying and disrespectful . Don't think i'll come back for dinner!

I was excited to return to the Club for I had not been in a while. I was invited to a private party. Immediatly upon arrivalI was not impressed by the smugnessof this establishment. Not the place I remember. From the doorperson to the rest of the staff. Not friendly. Great looking patio. I didn't stay long enough to try any food. This could be a fun place, but fear they will snob their way out of business. I would have considered having a wrap party there but I don't plan on returning any time soon.

Man, I wish i had read these reviews before I wasted a night at this place. Don't believe the good reviews you read on here, which were obviously written by either the staff or the few weird yuppie-zombies that seemed to be enjoying themselves the night I was there. Forget the nasty hosts, the overpriced menu and the bad food...this place is seriously bi-polar. Yes, the setting is beautiful. But then why in god's name do I want to listen to cheesy hip-hop and watch skanky go-go dancers gyrating lamely while I'm trying to eat dinner? Seriously, if you want a nice dinner, go someplace where they know how to treat customers. And if you want booty shaking, go to the Spearmint Rhino. Whatever you do, don't patronize the Buffalo Club.

Pros: good place if you've had a lobotomy

Cons: not nearly pretentious enough

I went to the Buffalo Club on a weekday evening. My friend and I were immediately greeted by a young condescending man who appeared to have a lot of time on his hands as the restaurant was dead. The interior has a nice old school feel but unfortunately that was really all that was nice about the restaurant. Unless, of course, you like playing air guitar during your meal. The music was unnerving, which was not eased by the food or the service. I enjoy many restaurants around LA and I am wondering why anyone would bother going to this place.

I usually love paying for a good dining experience, but one that is tacky and less than expected shouldn't be charging a $38 food minimum to begin with. For such a small space the go-go dancers were a cheesy touch and the dancing crowd that came out from god knows where, were grinding up against one another, right next to our over-priced plates. The bartender charged me for someone else's drink, and when I pointed out his mistake and that mine was $5 less, he replied "it's only $5 dollars" (!!!). Honestly, who says that to a patron? And careful when you ask for simple tap water - they brought out large bottled waters for our group of 12 when we asked for tap, and then charged us for all of them. I left highly disappointed and weirded out by this place - it felt like they were trying to milk you for your money when the place wasn't even worth it. If I hadn't gotten that vibe I would have probably spent more and felt okay about it. I dine out often with friends and this is the first bad review I've ever felt compelled to write.
