Read the facts

After 1.5 hours the kids and I still hadn't got wet. Main pools all closed for hygiene alert as we arrived. We then walked around and waited an hour to get onto Black Hole. The line didn't look that long...but no indication "30 mins wait from this point" etc. like a lot of parks. No information.

Turns out the ride was only operating one chute not two. No reasons given. All questions met with shrugs by staff. Interminable waits watched over by listless staff...seeming no communication between them...no sense of hussle and energy to get maximum no. of people through the rides and increase the fun.

We spent most of the day there....we got to ride 5 rides...let's say they last 30 seconds each....2.5 mins of "action"...

I though the guests were well behaved and tolerant considering the attitude of the management. This brand must suffer.

You're better off in the surf...

  • Pros: Water on a sunny day
  • Cons: Endless waiting

The first and best of the SoCal water parks. Even I, a hater of all things water and the rare breed of Californian who has somehow never gotten a tan, love this place. Lots of slides and pools and delicious funnel cakes. Treat yourself and devour treats yourself.

Great Park

by jacob923361 at Citysearch

I mean this is rediculous. people say they should raise the price?? they dont know what they are talking about do you have a family of 5. thats already 150.00 just to get it. To tell you the truth yoou cant really trust these negative reviews they are useually just people venting. long lines??? yes of course just like any other park. you can see over 8000 people on the weekends so i say why are u complaining about lines. that is a given for a theme park and the price. some say its to much????? Have you gone to disney lately?????? thats 60 bucks A day. thats season pass pricing for raging waters. you just need to come mon-thurs to avoid long lines its simple common sense guys. Youll only be disapointed if you come looking to find something amiss in the park. O and no security??? Did you look at the gates and all the Cameras>> You cant just kick someone out cause you think they look like a "Ganster"... people have rights if thier no trouble they stay just like everyone lse who has the right tobe thier. All in all it seems people complain about Price Lines and the price welll i say you knew it all before you went so how can you mark down a place when you didnt do your hw thats on you not the park itself. anyway i beleave thousands would agree its a great place to have a good time. very family friendly.

  • Pros: great rides. great price for the park.
  • Cons: foods a bit pricy but still tastes great

SoCal's original and biggest water park shows its age, but still delivers a great time.

by Contributor at Citysearch

The Appeal
Widely considered the granddaddy of SoCal water parks, Raging Waters is immortalized in the bodacious 1989 hit, "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure." Featuring 50 acres of splashy thrills, the park, as the dudes would say, is a totally awesome place to chill with your buds.

Facts and Features
The sizzling Neptune's Fury is an enclosed slide where you and three other tempters of fate cling onto a wobbly raft. All-time fave High Extreme II is the world's tallest headfirst water toboggan ride. Want more? Drop Out spits you out of a seven-story vertical slide at nearly 40 mph. The million-gallon Wave Cove boasts three-foot-high waves, and kids can play in the "smoking" Volcano Fantasea. Older rides--like Thunder Rapids and the Dark Hole--do feel a bit dated, but still make for good, clean fun.

disaster area

by snowbaby129 at Citysearch

I really didn't enjoy this place at all. First they make you park in the dirt and take you on this old bus and drive you to the park. The drive itself is dangerous as you have young unexperienced teenagers driving you over cliffs and curves on an old bus . The attractions are fun but somewhat old and dirty. And the water in the pool can turn quite cloudy for some reason. The workers were mainly rude and beware of getting water thown on your face if you are waiting for a ride. Its quite unexpected to have three gallons of water hit your face, not to mention painfull. It can get pretty crowded too. Mainly small kids and parents that live around that area I suppose. I thought they should increase the price and make some improvements throughtout the park. Im not sure if ill ever go again.

wild ride

by Lisag08 at Citysearch

what a fun place...If you like water slides this is it. Raging Waters has the most outragious water slide, wave pools I've ever experienced. Very crowded on the weekend so I'd suggest going during the week. The year pass is a great deal if you have the weekday time.

  • Pros: much to do, awsome slides
  • Cons: long lines, huge weekend crowd
