WeHo's longtime restaurant-lounge finally raises the bar.

Okay, okay. Let's clear up the sludge that has plagued this WeHo staple ever since it relocated in the late '90s from its original Sunset Boulevard location. Hidden high above the Normandie Room in the middle of the Santa Monica Boulevard madness, the restaurant is under new ownership as of 2009. Gone are the dubious days of (not-so) clandestine hook-ups in the bar. Owner Maz Yaghoubian may have kept the restaurant's name, but he's intent on changing the perception. Namely, by elevating the experience to that of a serious supper club (albeit one with a DJ at the hostess booth). Tufted leather booths, mirrored walls and soft lighting set the scene while a bird's eye view is on display from the windows. The menu offers solid Euro-inspired plates from crispy blue crab cakes and open-face lobster lasagna to incredible fresh catches, all set with homemade sauces. And don't forget the drinks--with some 16 Cosmos to choose from, this place is still one that can last all night long.
WeHo's Best Kept Secret

My mouth is still watering from the Chilean Sea Bass! Numbers was an awesome dining experience. A great date place-decadent food and an extensive selection of cocktails!!! It is hands down West Hollywood's Best Kept Secret!!!!
- Pros: food is awesome
- Cons: none
Sorry - No go on this place

The place was a great restaurant and bar to visit. New owners are homophobic and running us out of the place, including the great staff of bartenders and waiters. Too bad this historic place will be no more. The owner should at least drop the name so as to bring it no shame. Instead of an "H" bar it has become a hookah bar. LA and its following will miss this place. DG
- Pros: Great Staff
- Cons: Gay Phobia

Numbers is the perfect embodiment of the West Hollywood dining experience. The decor is modern yet retro - a classic dinner club taken to present-day. There is a bar and a dj, but not over-powering - a very subtle and enjoyable listening experience. Good people watching goes without saying. We had Salmon medallions with homemade gourmet sauces (they are known for their original sauces), a filet mignon that rivals Mortons, Oysters (flown in) that surpass Ocean Ave's in SM, Sea Bass, Halibut - the list goes on. Their fries are better than McDonalds... They specialize in Cosmos (they have a huge drink menu). We threw caution to the wind and just kept chewing and swallowing all the way through dessert. All we knew is that we had to eventually muster up enough strength to make it back to the valet - and we did. Make sure to ask for 'Maz' - if this unique and interesting owner is there, he will surely steer you in the right direction with your order.... I almost enjoyed his run-through of the choices as much as the meals themselves. He is the quintessential restaurateur - he cares and it shows. Come here if you want a feast, or even if you just want to have drinks and take in the scene (being on the 2nd floor yields fine and expansive views).
- Pros: atmosphere, food quality, staff
Not the place it once was
by mauibabyg at Citysearch
Went in for dinner and we were greeted by a lady hostess HOW RARE. We enjoyed the food but we were very surprised by the atmosphere and how dead the restaurant was. The food usually is somewhat good but has also gone downhill. There were no nice looking men any more and we felt totally out of place. My partner and myself as well as any of the other patrons that once visited here are NO LONGER WELCOME. The music is so loud and is being played by some kid you can not even hear yourselves talk even if you were sitting on each other. Even though straight people are welcome here you are treated even better if you are a woman, The owner only paid attention to them and even bought them several shots and drinks when we spent over $180.00 and he did not even acknowledge us. So if you are a woman this is the place to go for FREE drinks and be flirtatiously harassed by the owner in return for the free drinks. Sad to see this place has gone downhill. What was he thinking!!?!!!
- Pros: Nice looking bartenders and we love the manager
- Cons: Gone down hill since they are going STRAIGHT
Rare gem of a lounge

This place is on my top 5 list. I've been here a least 3 times. The service is spectacular and every time I go it gets better and better. The interior is calm and modern. Each table felt private. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
awesome cosmo's and food!

I love numbers! gorgeous interior, absolutely stunning. you walk in and really get the feel of a rich atmosphere. great food, crab cake appetizer and the pasta dishes are some of my favorites. totally transformed from what it used to be, definitely enforcing a stricter dress code to keep the crowd classy
- Pros: AMAZING FOOD, extensive cocktail list, very classy lounge
Good times

Beautiful restaurant, very modern but still a comfortable dining experience. Everything from the food (fantastic), to the cocktails, to the service (excellent) makes this an easy return for me. You will drop some cash on this place, but its worth every cent. The music is always good and nobody bothers you.
Nice, lovley crowd, friendly bartenders, great music.

Had a great time here after work yesterday with some friends. This place is really cool. I liked sitting at the booth, which is very comfy. I had a sip of a friend's Peach cosmo and let me tell ya, it was good. Shoestring fries were great. They had two flat screen tv’s by the bar that were playing clips of classic movies.
