Daring style and uncompromising service just blocks from the Beverly Center.

In Short
This soothing, sophisticated retreat is a dream come true for fans of high design and contemporary style. Sleek, clean lines dominate fashionable guest rooms, which offer A-list guests a mind-blowing bedside command center that can be used to turn on lights, play a disc, and check the time in Tokyo. Sliding Shoji screens, unbelievably white and fluffy down duvets and floor-to-ceiling windows put every other hotel room you've stayed in to shame.

Loved Le Meridien! Spacious room with a great work space! Brightly lit bathroom with plenty of counterspace, Japanese soaking tub that came up to my knees, and separate shower. Yes, there is a control panel which lets you turn all the lights on/off, control room temperature, set your alarm clock, and allows light up an electronic "Do Not Disturb" message on your doorbell. Bed was very comfortable and nice towels. Staff is extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgable, and courteous. Room service was good quality and prompt. Fitness center equipped with 2 treadmills, one elliptical trainer, one bike, weights, and some older model machines; towels and Arrowhead water available. There's a back elevator which brings you close to the gym so you don't have to walk across the lobby in your sweaty togs! Great location on Restaurant Row next to Morton's and across from Woo Lae Oak and Fogo de Chao. Within walking distance to the Beverly Center and the Beverly Connection (but who walks in LA?!?). The Grove, Whole Foods, Hard Rock Cafe, and Jerry's Deli are nearby. I would love to return!!!
- Pros: Amazing room and bathroom, great location, nice staff
- Cons: Room opened to a patio so everyone could easily see into room
A let down
by cutiekatie at Citysearch
I was excited to stay here for a romantic evening with my boyfriend, attracted to it's proximity and the pictures I have seen. But I have to say, those pictures lied. The lobby is decently attractive, although not spectacular. The room was dressed by someone with extremely cheesy taste, and the bathroom made me feel claustrophobic. Checking in and out seemed to take longer than usual, and the staff didn't seem very friendly. Our room also faced a very unattractive pool. I didn't mind it for the one night, but I wouldn't recommend staying here for much longer.
- Pros: Comfy bed, good for one night
- Cons: Too expensive, cheesy decor, small
Huge disappointment

Their website is misleading: the lobby looks nothing like it is shown. Housekeeping is poor; staff is inconsistent and often indifferent. The furniture in my suite was nicked, scratched and even peeling off. There was a cigarette burn in one of the chairs and a red wine spot in the chaise lounge......all of this at suite prices of over 600/night. The only response was that they are planning a 40 million dollar renovation and would upgrade next time to a "suite". That's exactly what I had--a "suite." Since Le Meridien just became part of the Starwood Properties, they have a lot of renovation to do, especially a renovation of attitude. I could truly go on but in retrospect, it becomes laughable, except for the prices that were charged. I expected more by about five times...

This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. The rooms were neat and comfortable. I had a great time.
Relaxing Stay

I recently stayed at tthis hotel and was pleasantly surprised. I found the room service to be great both with the food and the arrival time, 25 minutes or less. The rooms were very comfy and spacious. I especially loved the the relaxing lobby with water fountain in the center. Unfortunatly the gym was very small and out dated, but the pool was very clean and long enough to do laps.
- Pros: Room service, restraunts
- Cons: Gym
Can do better

It a city like LA, this hotel really need a face lift. The hotel feels very old and dated. It has mediocre toiletries at best. The in house restaurant is horrible. With it being part of restaurant row, you'd expect at least a decent restaurant there. It's only redeeming quality is the proximity of Restaurant Row and the shopping mall is within walking distance.
- Pros: nice Restaurant Row
Waste of _____
by rgreenip at Citysearch
I was not a guest of the hotel and am only reviewing the bar inside: Waste of time, waste of money, waste of a nice building. At the bar: Service was less than responsive unless you were a friend of the barstaff or could at least drop the name of a bartender (even if you butchered it). Poorly mixed drinks, etc. Do not have an private event there unless you want half of your crowd to be friends of the bouncer, staff, etc. Although the underdressed party crashers will enjoy it, you will soon find out that your open bar will end much quicker than you anticipated. Ambience and building are excellent and facilities are top quality.
