Give me a break

by JamieLetsner at Citysearch

If you like your bars tacky, your girls trashy and your beer week, here's the bar for you.

Loud, empty, theme-bar in Los Feliz.

awesome place, little watery though

by mrpokey at Citysearch

amazing atmosphere, dark and cozy, excelent music. The Bartenders are super friendly, the waitresses are very cute with there scout 'uniforms'. One of there signature drinks 'the girlscout martini' is amazing...

the only downside to this place is that they are pretty watery on there mixed drinks. I stick to beer at this place, or one of the signature drinks they are 'proud of'. If your looking for amazingly strong mixed drinks for the same price go to the Gryphon, its within walking distance down the street. Different atmosphere, but if you order a rum and coke the coke is just there for color, know what im sayin?

  • Pros: awesome atmosphere, amazing staff, excellent music
  • Cons: stick to beer, the hard stuff isnt that hard.

Fun decor, very weak drinks

by FilmguyJon at Citysearch

I was looking forward to checking this place out. When I arrived I thought the decor was great and it had a fun vibe. I ordered a Seven & Seven and it was awful. Very weak pour and over priced. My second drink was just as weak as the first. Bigfoot Lodge gets over crowded very quickly and it is a pain in the rear to get a drink at the bar. Do yourself a favor and either pre party before you go so you don't waste too much money on the bad drinks or stick to beer which they can't water down.

  • Pros: Fun decor
  • Cons: Weak, over priced drinks

Hipsters High Hipsters Low Hipsters On The Ceiling GO!

by RoseFlor at Citysearch

I started going there years ago. It's a super place but can get a little crowded at peak times. Karoke Mondays are cool. Stop,Revolt. played there once when they still had bands. I like National Forest themes.

I love to meet a large group of friends here. It's busy but not too crowded, the staff is fun, and the drinks are strong. One of my fave bars in LA

  • Pros: Staff, drinks, atmosphere, lots of fun

A place to unwind

by caligari at Citysearch

Comfortable atmosphere, not too crowded or too hip, but hip enough with good music, excellent decor and good drinks. The staff is friendly and easygoing. Vaguely reminds me of something from David Lynch's Twin Peaks.

  • Pros: Feels like your living room
  • Cons: eventually you have to leave

I came here before moving to Los Angeles and really felt at ease. Nice friendly folks. Check out the website for theme nights. Good drinks and fair prices.

Super cute bar - in a good way

by csellmybelle at Citysearch

I went there because the crowd at the Derby was too much like something I would find at Forbidden City or Ivar. I love Silver Lake and Atwater but I never knew this place existed. It looks like a hole in the wall but then you walk in and there's a raccoon playing peek-a-boo from a log and you see this place that is themed out! There is a real cute fireplace with little log stumps for chairs and the fireplace is actually a vent for the a/c. The drinks were good, prices were moderate, and the crowd was a great mixed group of people. The music was good too and it wasn't too loud so that you couldn't hold a conversation. Even though it was a Saturday night and there were tons of people seating wasn't difficult to find and waiting for drinks wasn't bad. Only bad thing was that I don't think they have a smoking patio so you had to walk out and smoke and walk back in.

  • Pros: Atmosphere
  • Cons: Definitely no dancing and parking is someone else's front yard

Pretty Rad

by ivonnie at Citysearch

This place is pretty rad! I live close by so I just walk on over. The drinks are great especially the specialty drinks and they're well-priced. Just get there early on the weekends because seating is limited.

  • Pros: awesome location, fun atmosphere
  • Cons: limited seating on weekends
