This is a beautiful hotel on a gorgeous piece of property! Rooms are nicely appointed, spacious and clean - get one w/ a view! Service - great, food - excellent, pool - delightful! The view from many areas of this hotel overlooks the beach - WOW! And you can walk right down - it's a little bit of a walk - but worth it!!

Cons: Not cheap!

The perfect spot for a weekend getaway. Many hotels can and should take the lead from this one. You pay the price, but you also receive excellent service at every step, from the bar to the valet.

Pros: Service, service, service

Cons: Resort tax

Excellent Beach is right there. You have to walk down the hill a bit. But good excersize. The dining is good. I arrived on business. A friend was planning on meeting me. I spoke with the bartender, about sending down some champagne, they delivered promptly, down to the veranda, where I was sitting. Upon getting back to my room, I discovered that they had anticipated that my friends arrival could be romantic, they had stocked the room for just such a visit. It wasn't that kind of a visit, but, it was very nice to see , just in case anticipation. A guest has to ask for very little, they want to know about you, what you enjoy. They asked me once how I liked my meals cooked, I was never asked again, but my food was always perfect. I'm very fussy about taste and presentation of food. Great Job.

Pros: prompt service, home away from home, very friendly staff

Cons: , night guest recogniti

My family's overall experience was horrible. The bus boy who brought our luggage into our room spilt our dimatap all over the bed spead, then the next day when maid service came all they did was turn over the dirty side of the bed spread to make it "appear" as if they changed bedding. After climbing into bed I realized there was sticky cough syrup all over my legs. I then called maid service to have them clean it and it took two hours to finally get service, and when we did get service there was no appology. This hotel expects you to pay top dollar for their rooms and dining then treats you like scum, not my idea of a first class hotel.

Pros: soft water, nice view, feather beds

Cons: bad service, expensive prices, arroganced staff

Unfortunately, our stay was so dissapointing. There was an awful smell from burning firewood all day and night due to being located under the club level, the bed was estremely hard and uncomfortable, and the shower drain was stopped up so that when we took a shower we had to stand in a big puddle. If this wasn't enough, when I called the assistant manager to complain, I was basically told that he was sorry, but was not offered any discount on my stay or offered a new room or anything. Our stay was supposed to be a nice renewel for us and it ended up being very aggravating and sad. Not worth the money and the staff could have been more accomodating when they realized we were unhappy. This proved to us that they really arent concerned with what the customer thinks.

Pros: beautiful property

Cons: inconsiderate service, uncomfortable beds, rooms are old

What a great Hotel, you won't find a better view anywhere in the world. The service is impeccable a little pricey but worth every penny, then again what do you expect from a Ritz. The front office staff is the friendliest of any I have ever experienced, upon check in ask for Neal.

Pros: Views, front office, staff

Cons: pricey but what do, you expect from a rit, z

The view from the hotel is immaculate: clear ocean water and white sandy beaches. Absolutely breathtaking!

Spend a weekend there the third week of December, every year. Romantic, classy, upscale and Europeanesque.

Pros: Location, Location, Location

Cons: Can be cold

This is my favorite Ritz-Carlton property in all of the U.S. It is set on a cliff overlooking the ocean. It is quite romantic when sitting along in your room or at the bar having a meal or simply a drink, while overlooking the ocean and the sunset. I would recommend staying at the club level. It is worth every dollar. You get your own concierge service along with constant meal servings throughout the day, and you have alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at your leisure. You will be treated like royalty.

Pros: Romantic, Great Location, Exquisite Service
