Chowder = white gravy + few bits clam and potato
by socaller at Citysearch
I have been to Universal many times and went here once, last January. Big mistake! I was in the mood for a good bowl of clam chowder. This was the worst Chowder I have ever had! Taste and texture was gross! The service was also very slow. I will not be going back anytime during future visits to City Walk.
- Pros: fun environment
- Cons: food sub par, service slow
CityWalk's family-friendly seafood emporium features shellfish, soups and bib-wearing good times.

In Short
Tourist families and locals on dates swarm over sawdust-covered floors, munching on free peanuts while they wait for their tables. Under different ownership than the original Malibu property, this one sits atop a hill in the Valley. Starters include seafood staples like calamari, crab cakes and clam chowder. Dinner specialties include a San Francisco-style cioppino, drunken salmon and the classic surf-and-turf filet mignon and whole lobster eaten with a plastic bib.
