Great lamb chops!
by PaulSalas at Citysearch
This place is really good and the prices aren't outrageous like at other French restaurants. It has valet and onstreet parking, if you're lucky. They have good french onion soup and lamb chops. Good drinks, too!!
- Pros: good food
- Cons: crowded
Best salmon, chicken picata and world famous fries. The wines good too!
by GaryBergevin at Citysearch
Anyone who doesn't like this everyday bistro is nuts. We go there 2 times a month and the food and service is top notch. Lunch is great too, but the service part is a bit lacking during the day. Fav's are the blackened salmon over greens and the chicken picata, I usually order the plate with their fantastic fries. The house wines are great and a huge pour. It's noisy, bright and very much a French bistro, but we love it.
- Pros: Fries, Fries, Fries
- Cons: Hard to get in
What A Mess

My friend had his birthday dinner here last night sat 3/22/08. There were 15 of us and apparently were invisible. The first of us arrived 5 ppl and were seated at our table. The first 3 people i asked for wine menus couldn't understand what i was saying-a tiny bit of english would be helpful in a restaurant. Our waitress was taking one drink order, leaving, getting the drink, come back, take another order and so on 5 of us. After our whole party was seated it took about 20 minutes for us to get water and menus and that was only because several of us had to ask. The bartender had no idea how to make a a cocktail ie greygoose on the rocks with a splsh of water was served to me in a highball glass with 2 pieces of ice mostly water no straw no garnish- my boyfriends makers on the rocks was also served in a highball with water-why? i dont know. She also served rotten/brown olives in my friends martini. If go here and you see the btender has long blonde hair speak very slowly to her so she gets it. The manager was about 80 years old and had no clue what was going on. How you can manage a place and allow 15 people to have to repeatedly ask for water, wheres our waitress, more bread-is beyond me. I understand waitresses have sections but when you see 15 people trying to get the attention of someone, i know we're not your table but please dont stand there with your arms folded across your chest starring at us. I bartend in w hollywd and i dont want to be there half the time either but i give great service. After we finished eating blah food that when delivered was shouted out to us 'who had the lamb?' seriously? im not at Astroburger at 3am our bill $900. We were then going to order 1 more drink but the bartender was sitting r stuffing her face. We split the bill to 3 credit cards and we had to get up and physically walk to the back of the restaurant to hand her the check book because she was sitting slumped over on a table next to the bar
- Pros: i got to leave
- Cons: service, management, food, bartender
Great Lamb

I went to Le Petite Bistro on a Wednesday night around 8:30 pm and was shocked to see that it was quite packed in the middle of the week. I was actually very lucky to even get a table for two without reservations; they gave us the only single table available and it happened to be by the kitchen corridor/bar. The table?s location was horrible due to the fact that it was in the way of the waiting staff but tolerable seeing as I did not have reservations for a table that night. There was very little space to move around and it was quite stuffy and hot but all those factors seemed not to matter due the coziness and good food. The decor and ambience was very charming and mostly I loved hearing the sounds of the French language drifting around the room by its French customers.
I ordered the lamb chops with pommes frites and coupled it with a nice bordeaux. The chops were very tender and well seasoned with a delicious sauce. The pommes frites were tasty and perfectly bite sized. My companion and I finished the night off with the raspberry Creme brulee that deliciously cracked as I put my spoon through its top.
The only thing that I did not like was the pushy staff. My dinner companion and I had not even gotten our coats on to leave and the owner/manager was already pushing us off and out from our table so he could pack it up which I thought was incredibly rude. We had spent over $75 for two people and did not deserve the lack of attention and discourtesy from them.
- Pros: romantic, ambiance, tasty food, decor reminiscent of French bistros
- Cons: layout, small tables, pushy waiters/staff, cramped and crowded
Very good French Food
by manuella at Citysearch
When you walk into this restaurant, it feels like you are walking into a bistro in France. The food is delicious and they have a good selection of wines. The restaurant is not very big but it is always busy and has a great atmosphere. There are lots of yummy things on the menu to choose from and when they bring you the bread and butter, they also include three dips that are delicious. they have a good steak frites here that i like to order.
- Pros: good food, nice decor and atmosphere
- Cons: can get very busy

- Pros: Best lamb in LA!
- Cons: Call ahead and make reservations, gets very busy Sat night! (of course!)
One of the Best places for Entertainment Industry Business Lunches, BEST VALUE IN LA & a Wine List like Spago's but way less expensive.
by gourmet_expert at Citysearch
You can come here everyday and never get tired of the food. Never fails to satisfy. Everything is delicious. and it's the best place to come for Entertainment Industry Business Lunches. Have a glass of wine for lunch once in a while. They say "someone who drinks wine with lunch is in control of their days". I like that idea. :) My favorites are the Mergeuz with thin fries, or the elegant Chicken Caesar Salad (sometimes I get the Bistro Salad with grilled pounded Chicken breast on top) or Togarashi Salmon. Also the classic dishes like Short ribs with pasta, the best Seasoned-roasted chicken with thin fries, or the Filet Mignon with anything it comes with. Home style food very Elegantly Prepared: Meats cooked to perfection/ falls of the bones, and they really know their Seafood & WINES.
- Pros: Owners have been in the business for over 35 years & really know good food.
- Cons: You might eat too much :) *Amazing desserts too...
We go once a month!

I have to admit, we usually order the same thing when we go, but it's always wonderful! I love the salad with salmon on top - and my husband loves the filet mignon. Everything is wonderfully seasoned and we love the atmosphere.
- Pros: Excellent food
Terrible service, Overpriced, Average Food
by amyjohnsonpd at Citysearch
Me and my husband were very excited to try Le Petit, since we had heard good things about it. We went on Valentines Day and it ruined our night. The wait staff was really rude, and the food was not good. It was a huge dissapointment.
- Cons: rude staff, average food at a high price
Mini trip to Paris
by me_hollywood at Citysearch
My favorite French bistro in town. They have the standards down pat. Nothing ahead of the culinary curve, just good reliable bistro food. Boullabaise, steak frite, cassoulet, sole meuniere... you get the picture. Seating is straight out of Paris too - booth seating lines the perimeter (for the ladies, good gents) and tight tables in the center.
- Pros: Reliable, authentic
- Cons: None that I can think of
