Healthy, Clean eating
by tlorenz
I was somewhat hesitant to bring one of my collegues to A Votre Sante, thinking she might not be too excited about healthy food. Luckily, I was pleasantly suprised to discover she was a vegetarian and this place was ideal. Though the restaurant looked like it was still somewhat under construction (still spackle on the walls), the food surpassed the appearance: I ordered the falafel plate, which was full of pita, hummus, tabouli, and well seasoned falafel and was fairly inexpensive. I also got the side of cornbread, a medium sized loaf that wasn't overly sweet but very satisfying. The restaurant was busy and a little loud, but the servers managed the crowd well; I will certainly return here.
- Pros: Flavorful health food, vegetarian friendly
- Cons: unfinished walls?
Very Poor Customer Service

If you are a person who wants to have a relaxed meal with pleasant service - avoid A Votre Sante.
Arrived at 11:30am on a Saturday morning to eat by myself and read though some work papers. Ordered an egg-white dish with blackened salmon, corn tortilla, black beans, guacamole and asparagus. I also ordered a decaf coffee and a glass of water. After several minutes I asked for my coffee a second time and then a third. Wasn't too annoyed yet. Meal came and food was good. Kept reading through my papers as I ate. When done I was asked if I wanted anything else and I said, "more decaf please". She brought the refill with the bill ($16.10) and I put out a $20. She took the money and didn't bring back any change. I thought it was a bit presumptious that I was going to give a 24% tip. I didn't say anything because I actually WAS going to give her the $3.90 - I just find it strange when people presume it.
She (Anna) then immediately asked if she could get me anything else. Given that she has asked 3 minutes prior and that I still had an 80% full cup of decaf in front of me - it was obvious to me that she was trying to rush me along. I just smiled and said "no thank you". Then she returned again after another 3 minutes and asked again. I was embarassed at how rude that was but I didn't want to get flustered. She then returned AGAIN and said, "I'm sorry, sir, but would you mind leaving because there are people waiting outside." I am HYPER sensitive to places that are too crowded and don't like when people linger uncessarily, but this was extreme. I looked outside and there were two sets of people waiting - each with 4 or 5 guests and I was sitting at a 2-top.
Boy was I irritated. They have my $16.10 for a single breakfast and Anna can keep my $3.90 tip. But for the sake of 5 minutes they have lost a customer that would have otherwise come back. If you are a person who wants to have a relaxed meal with pleastant service - avoid A Votre Sante.
- Pros: Good food and healthy choices.
- Cons: Slow service and very rude waitress. Be prepared to eat quickly & leave.
Yummy, healthy and casual
by wineguzzler
I love this place. The food is healthy and the rice and other ingredients are organic. The prices are VERY reasonable too. I love the Vegetarian Tostada with blackened salmon and the veggie burrito with chicken. The desserts are dairy free and so the they aren't the most tasty things but they are somewhat guilt free. I also like that the soups are cream free and come with cute little corn bread muffins. The only two complaints is that they don't seem to have very good temperature control and sometimes it seems a little under staffed. In general there are only two servers working and although the place is small, when its packed a third server would be nice.
- Pros: food, prices, portions
- Cons: parking, temperature, sometimes under staffed
Deliciously Healthy

Food is served on huge plates. ALways plenty to eat. I highly recommend the special tofu mushroom napoleon. It's covered with a delicous gravy and very fresh and brightly-colored vegetables swimming around in it. Service was great. Nice wooden tables. Nice quiet neighborhood. Had the treat of seeing George Carlin at a nearby table.
- Pros: Big portions, Delicious and healthy, Nice window seating
- Cons: Tables too close
Healthy and Good
by JJones
A trendy little place in Brentwood that serves healthy fare. Always busy, service is quick, and the food served is healthy, but good sized portions. Egg whites, brown rice, fresh juices and coffee. Breakfast on the weekend is particularly popular.
Tiny space, and can be noisy when full.
- Pros: Healthy Fare
- Cons: Tiny Space
