Under new Management
by Markisababy
Best happy hour in Hollywood and Los Angeles. From 4-8 every day its $2 beers and $5 well.
This is your Neighorhood Bar.
- Pros: $2 beers during happy hour
- Cons: What like con men? I didn't see any.
Great bar...Horrible owner
by babbalou
This is the best bar in Hollywood. The drinks are strong, The bartenders are Awesome. On That note, My favorite bartender / Manager was let go recently for reasons unknown. He ran that bar Extremely well, and held a great relationship with every customer. I Heard that Jane Grant, the owner lets people go because she is not happy with business and she just picks out one that works for her at the time. That is horrible. Jane grant needs to learn to run a neighborhood bar properly. She is going to run this awesome bar into the ground. Neighborhood bars rely on bartender / patron relationships. Jane, Please sell the bar to someone who knows how to ru a business
- Pros: Awesome bartenders. Great drinks
- Cons: Really BAD owner Jane Grant
Fun Dive Bar
by STaylor921
My friends and I had such a fun time here! It was totally cute and dark and a total dive bar, but everyone there was SO nice. We had a blast. Nice change of pace!
- Pros: Cheap, not too crowded, fun place
- Cons: cash only, parking
The soul of a youthful Hollywood bar in the body of a crusty old Brit.
by Contributor
The Scene
A longtime den of hard-core drinkers--legend has it Richard Burton used to start his benders here--this British dive has been commandeered by hipsters. Their legions invaded with an eclectic jukebox and drinks of the sour-apple-martini genre. Still, the Anglophilia lingers on, aided and abetted by high-backed booths, remnants of a fireplace and half-timber walls festooned with flags of many lands. There's even a passageway into the neighboring Indian restaurant for homesick expats looking for a curry fix. Industry kids galore pack in here during the evening hours, but come at 2 pm on a weekday and you'll have plenty of time and space to line 'em up in the company of two or three like-minded folks.
Homey feel but celeb hang out

Many a listers, Christina Applegate and that Chuck guy. Supposively better than all the posh posh bars
Best Dive in W. Hollywood
by eryderz13
Being from NYC I get tired of all the fancy, Hollywood VIP bars. Then FINALLY I meet my maker, Coach & Horses! This is officaly my Cheers. I highly reccomend coming here for the cheap drinks, great juke box and low key atmosphere.
Exquisite dive - best juke box in LA
by moesinatra
ok, so this place is cash only and only slightly larger than my old apartment in NYC, but i love it. it has the best juke box in LA and the staff is great. they are super nice and the drinks aren't crazy expensive (as well they shouldn't be, it is a total dive - but i mean that in the best sense of the word!). if you are looking for a mellow place with great music and don't need glitz and glam, check it out. we always have a great time there.
- Pros: cheap drinks and GREAT music
- Cons: cash only
Not crowded, not too expensive, and very little attitude!

This is a great place to start your evening. The lithe bartender is always friendly and the drinks are always quick to appear. Seating usually isn't a problem -- they have plenty of stools at the bar and booths around the perimeter. The jukebox offers plenty of options and the lighting is nice and dim. Parking is easy on Sunset Blvd., just make sure to bring plenty of cash, as they don't accept credit cards. (They have an ATM on-site if you forget).
Great, but cramped drinking person's bar
by youngblood58
This is a great dive kind of bar in the heart of Hollywood as you near West Hollywood. You may have to stand around, as seating can be very hard to find -- especially on weekends -- and the cigarette smoke can be overwhelming. Hip, but cramped and stuffy.
- Pros: Hip crowds, Fun bartenders
- Cons: Cramped, Smoked-filled
