Never will I return to this place. I hate the whole LA scene but as much as I hate that, I also dislike this side of the spectrum at Champs. The servers are not friendly and slow. The customers are overweight and not attractive. Nascar is on the tv!! enough said. They also have some other car racing thing, where they race around on a dirt race thingy on tv. My date lost big points by bringing me here. He did though look more attractive in comparison to all the other customers. The place was dirty. The waitresses barely acknowledged us and were unfriendly. Best way to describe it is you are warped thru time the moment you walk in the door to some hick bar in Arkansas. If I wanted that, I would move to Arkansas. Ladies, no cute guys at all!! Actually, you might already know this because I didn't see another female in their besides me. Being pleasant by the staff could have made up for soo much. When every other bar is hiring smartly attractive, friendly, high energy staff. This place does the absolute opposite. If anyone can recommend a good sportsbar, with clean tables, clean floors and a friendly staff in the valley, please inform me. Oh! with cute Guys too please!!
Pros: location
Cons: everything else, dirty, service is bad, food disgusting

I've been dragged to this bar, a handful of times. Mostly from friends who like the over all look of the bar(many tv's). But I dislike this place with a passion. The service is my number one gripe. They are bitter, unattractive women. They finally hired a waitress under 80 and she has their same attitude. This place is dead all year round till football rolls around. The moment it does they jack up the prices. But their attitudes stay the same. The place is dirty, and old, much like their staff. The food is horrible. I don't expect too much from bar food, but with other local bars offering some diverse and great food they appear to be falling behind. Staff does not smile, they act like they are doing you a favor when your ordering. I think they must be collecting their social security check so aren't to concerned on getting tipped. For watching sports in the immediate area I would recommend THE SNUG or THE OFFICE. The Snug is clean, good prices and i've only ran in to one bartender each time i've been there but she's extremely nice. The Office is very clean, their drinks are a bit hight than The Snug, but the staff is on point and the food is actually amazing for a bar. Out of the 4 waitresses/bartenders i've come across there, they are all good except for this chubby one who seems to always be eating or texting. But I think they stick her on the slowest days and hours, so have only ran in to her twice. The rest of the staff is quick and friendly. As for Champs, places like this should not be in business. I hope they go bankrupt and someone with a understanding of customer service buys the building and does something amazing with it. The first step should be putting those old cows out to pasture. And the young one with the big nose too. p.s. my friends finally got fed up with the attitude.
Pros: waitresses there can't live forever
Cons: waitresses there

Seriously I have gone there over and over again just because it feels like a Midwest sports bar. Their waitresses treat you like you are inconveniencing them by ordering a drink. Several times I have heard them talk trash as they walk away. Apparently I must look as dumb as they do. Every week I have been organizing and meeting friends there, bringing them business and yet the attitude continues. We met before 10am on Sunday for the games and I had one friend out of the group order a glass of water to start off and the old hag left and mumbled trash talk under her breath. Another time we were discussing what pitcher to get and again we were given attitude. We are good customers and would tip really well if they weren't so freaking rude. What in the hell is wrong with these people? Who handles a business like this? Who wants to goto a bar where you are treated like trash? Oh yeah and they riased their prices as if they are some upscale bar. Ha! $15 bucks for a small pitcher of beer. Granted that doesn't seem like a lot, but if you were to go there you would see what I mean. This is the only place I've ever taken the time to comment on, but seriously DO NOT GO THERE!
Pros: Feels like a midwest sports bar
Cons: Ownership, Attitude, Price, Bathrooms, SERVERS

We ordered the double cheeseburger, turkey melt, and turkey burger. All were outrageously good bar food. Our sides were onion rings, fries, and potato salad. Fries and rings were homemade and great. Salad was bulk food and gross. But its a bar so who cares, I shouldn't be ordering potato salad at a bar.
Pros: Food, Service, Sports bar atmosphere, and happy hour
Cons: Ohio State fans, truly grungy but not too bad

I've been going here for Monday Night Football for years, the owner (a real character) does this awesome Sports Trivia Show at the Halftime where you can win a FREE beer, very fun, everybody gets into it. Cheap beer (beer/wine only), good food, great service (a mom & pop kind of pub), pool tables, darts and plenty of TVs. A fun local bar. Goodtimes had by all!!!!
Pros: Cheap Beer, fun people , popular but not trendy
Cons: closes at 2am

Last time I visited the place, I ordered a pitcher of Bass. Instead I got a pitcher of Sam Adams. Since I have been drinking both of them for a while, the difference in taste was very clear. When I told the waitress about it, she insisted it was Bass from a freshly opened keg. So be careful when you order beer from the tap. Buffalo wings were awesome. Turkey melt was soggy and did not taste good. Overall, a good place to go after work. Or to watch sprts (2 big screen TVs)

Not much to look at from the outside, CHAMPS is a true "Neighborhood Bar". Even if you are a first-timer, you feel right at home here. Cheap drink, good food, tough-love service... And EVERY COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAME YOU WANT!!!!! Seriously, I have been in CA for nearly three years now and this is most comorting, non-pretentious pub I have found. If fact, if you are looking to be ultracool and trendy, please don't come. This is a serious pub, for serious game-watching, serious drinking and serious good times.
Pros: Cheap, Relaxed, College Football
Cons: Hmmm?, Well?, No booths I guess?

Champs used to be a great bar in Burbank. Used to be is the operative term here. Within the past few years the management, and the staff have been really rude to the customers. The food is ok, if you like basic bar fare. The burgers are mediocre. And, that is one of the few featured items on the menu! Your best bet if you want to go to a fun sports bar in Burbank is to check out Tin Horn Flats, at Magnolia just past Buena Vista in Burbank. They know how to treat their customers, and they serve great food at affordable prices.
Pros: Pool tables, big screen tv's, cheap beer
Cons: rude staff, very little parking, crappy food

You've got the exposed wood beams, the knotty pine panneling and a decidely blue collar crowd--sort of a vision of what the Valley was like about 20 years ago. It's kind of a refreshing scene overall, sports fans here are much more down-to-earth here than typical LA fans. These folks hang in there, from tip-off to buzzer. None of that silly beat-the-traffic leaving five minutes before the game is over stuff.
Pros: Atmosphere
