We were looking for a good live music lounge to hang out in and drink. Unfortunately we got there just in time for the last song they were playing, but boy were they good. If the drinks were anywhere close to decent we would come back for sure. However every drink we tried from the Mojitos to the martini's were just awful. No one finished their drink let alone ordered another one. The $25 plate of jambalaya pasta would not have made the cut at Denny's, let alone here. It was noodles, ketchup and overcooked chicken. And this was supposed to be a "house specialty". The apertizer sampler was equally appalling. The artichoke dip tasted and looked like it was made the day before and had been drying out ever since. The chicken was cooked at least twice as long as it should have been and the calamari was decent. The coconut shrimp were fantastic though! We should have just ordered that. If only the drink were anywhere near acceptable we'd return for the great band. However never again I'm afraid

Pros: Music

Cons: Food, Drinks

I have been to the Jazz Kitchen several times. Each time, the food has been very tasty! Though I was a little disappointed that the Fried Green Tomatoes were no longer on the menu, I was still really pleased with the appetizer sampler (best Coconut Shrimp EVER), shrimp and lobster ravioli, and double chocolate bread pudding! My most recent visit was for my bachelorette party. Having done the clubbing scene, I wanted to do something different and sure to be fun. We spent the day at Disneyland, then showed up early for our dinner reservation. Seating hadn’t started yet but the bar was open so we headed in. There were 8 of us and Ryan, the GM, took care of our first round of drinks! Most of which were doubles!! Jorge and Sam were delightful bartenders and chatted with us while making our drinks. Poor Jorge was stuck assembling Mojitos while Sam got to make the double tall Grey Goose and tonics. Finally seated at our table in front of the stage, our very patient and attentive waitress for the evening was Carley. Her service was perfect and she always checked on us at the right moments to make sure we had everything we needed. She even let us know about a wine special that night and we took advantage of 4 (or 5) bottles (don’t worry, we stayed within walking distance of the park). We also really enjoyed the live jazz band. In addition to the great restaurant staff, we also want to thank the fun and understanding Jazz Kitchen patrons that night who supported our cheering, singing, conga line, and general chaos. For those that were not as amused, I hope you were still able to enjoy your food. Whether you are looking for the setting for a romantic dinner (there is seating away from the music) or a lively place to partake in some live music and have fun with friends, Jazz Kitchen is an excellent choice in Downtown Disney.

Pros: SERVICE, Live Music, Reasonably Priced Delicious Food

It's all about the music. That's the magic and why it's called a "Jazz Kitchen." Eat somewhere near the action, definitely downstairs. We escaped into this magic place during a rainstorm, and decided to have a drink while waiting for the worst to pass. There was a full 4 piece jazz band in the bar complete with singer. We decided to eat. The music was worth whatever we paid for the food. The service was slow and laid-back; when there's a show that's a good thing. They let us move closer to the music during the meal. Brought us way above average food, for about what you'd pay at a restaurant without a floorshow. If you like tablecloths, cajun cooking, and good tunes this place is for you. If you're into the lines, fast food, and the hectic pace of Disneyland you should eat in the park. Brennan's is definitely my kind of place.

Pros: Amazing music, great architecture, table service, good food.

Cons: The service depends on how crowded they are. Sit near the band and it won't matter.

The food was extremely overpriced. I was on a business account so I didn't care. I ordered the soup and it was cold. I was starving so I ate it anyway. I complained to the waitress and she didn't care. The food took a long time to come out. I had the stuffed shrimp. It was pretty decent since I wasn't paying. I probably wouldn't go back but I've been to worse places.

Pros: Fun Ambiance

Cons: Overpriced, Bad Service

My friends and I were actually in a rush to make it in time for a movie, so we ended up going to the Jazz Kitchen Express. Though at first it was quite an ordeal to find seating, the food came out really quickly. I ordered the jambalaya and my boyfriend ordered the New Orleans Platter Basket. They were both decent in taste level... Though it's probably not top quality Nawlin's cuisine, it isn't bad for what its worth.

Pros: quick, tasty

Cons: limited seating!

My family and I went on a Thursday evening for dinner - our waiter actually came to our table and told us he was really busy and would get to us as soon as he was done with the other tables. We waited 20 minutes for him to come and take our order, another 10-15 minutes for our wine (which he brought the wrong bottle) and no water was served. Then we waited another 30 minutes for our entree's - the shrimp creole was absolutely terrible - the shrimp was of low quality and overpriced, my hubby had the jambalaya that was equally bad. My father and step-mother were not impressed by thier shrimp scampi which they said was possibly the worst meal they had eaten in long time. My husband and I were sick the next day from the food we had eaten and my father and step-mother were not feeling well either. We will not be eating here again and would not recommend it to anyone. Bad food is bad enough, but to get ill from the food is another thing entirely. From ther reviews I have read about this restaurant have been either really good or really bad - which indicates this place is inconsistant (food and service) which does not make a great restaurant. The only good thing about the place was the bar and the music other than that if you want New Orleans-style food go to New Orleans.

Pros: Good bar and good music

Cons: Awful overpriced food with bad inattentive service.

WOW ! Amazing, Me and my husband came to this restaurant for the first time. It was are anniversary and we just loved it . The environment itself was incredible it really gave an impression that you were actually somewhere else it was just romantic. We were seated outside and it was actually raining that day so everything was very amusing simply because we were outside and very well protected and warm from the rain.Need I paint a perfect picture it was amazing being serve this wonderful food and watching the rain fall. I had the lobster ravioli and oh my god it was so rich and savory I recommend it highly. The appetizer was wonderful but if I were to recommend an appetizer it would be the coconut shrimp simply because we ordered the variety appetizer platter. Now I know the next time I go I would order plenty of the coconut shrimp it was just perfect and it melt in our mouth.Oh yeah if the waitor asks if you wanted to order the chcolate bread pudding for desert I recomend that you do.

Pros: great service at least I know that we did he was absolutely marvelous

Cons: average cost for an amusement park atmosphere

I was at Jazz Kitchen on Nov 25,2006, and we did not see any cheeseburgers on the menu, so we decided to order the Traditional New Oreleans Holiday dinner. Turkey Ducken or something like that, we started off with a Sweet Patato Puree with Suage in it. ( that was realy a great dish) then we ordered the main course turkey Ducken something, we neded up spiltting that as it was to much for 1 person. It came with Turkey Duck, chicken dressing, and turkey breast Garlic mashed patatos, carrots, and then for dessert we ordered Bannnan foster, the server ws great, the Jazz band that was playing was fantastic, automosphare was perfect, people was enjoying here self, the place was clean, service was friendly, I do suggest making reservation as at night during summer and Holidays they get very busy.

Pros: Hot food comes out hot and cold food comes out cold. serice is very good.

Cons: No cons.

I went here specifically to try out their beignets and they were very good. We got the plain beignets and I would be very interested in trying other more of their food. My boyfriend grew up with New Orleans food and he said that their beignets were very near what he remembers as a boy.

Pros: fast service; friendly employees

Cons: parking fee
