One of the best crudos I have ever tried!
by jobrooks59 at Citysearch
I have been going to this place for many years, like every three months and let me tell you, it is now my favorite place. I was there on one occassion and I noticed that some people took a little longer to order, then the chef came out to that table. After that, the chef went inside and a little after, I see them bringing the dishes for that table. I couldn't help it, I got up and ask those people about their dishes. They were having a pasta, that is cooked and put inside a wheel of cheese. They bring the wheel of cheese (it looks kind of heavy to carry) to the table and serve it right in front of you. It looks and is delicious!!!! They said to me that they love to eat at Tra Di Noi. From the appetizers to the dessert it is very good. They said that they have more than one favorite dish so I decided to try some of the dishes they were having, including Crudo and of course the pasta. It is prepapered by the chef and he always makes something new and different. Ever since I tried it, I just think about going back! I definitely recommend it!!!
- Pros: Food is exquisite, A+.
- Cons: Kind of hard to find parking, service a bit confusing sometimes.
Best Italian in Malibu, Great Service
by Linds315 at Citysearch
Best italian food in Malibu, hands down. Once or maybe twice I have gotten an "off" dish, but I go there all the time and it rarely ever fails. The service has only been iffy maybe a few times, and I have been there probably 20 or so. Overall, GREAT place. Not everyone can be 100% all the time, but these guys are 100% about 98% of the time. This place is my favorite restaurant in Malibu.
- Pros: Food
- Cons: I always leave over stuffed (not really a con for them, I guess more of a personal flaw!)
Italian done right

So pleasant, the restaurant is small, but the patio and the ambience is great. Food has always been delicious, pasta and pizza perfect, salads are yummy and can be shared. Great coffee and desserts too. A good selection of wine. Staff is very attentive and nice. Great for people watching. It's a treat after a day at the beach or shopping near by.
- Pros: Yummy Italian done right, Perfect Salads
- Cons: Parking is a premium to find, If you have to wait for a table - it seems like forever
great food... awful service

I have been going to Tra Di Noi for years. I am a malibu local and definitely think it is the best Italian food in Malibu. Especially since 50% of the restaurants in malibu are italian. The food is great the Pizza is amazing and one of the best I have ever had. The service is terrible. but the food makes up for it.
If you are in the area seaching for exquisite food, make sure you try this restaurant!!! You will Love Crudo!!!!!!

The first time I tried Tra di Noi was about a year ago and I would say it was ok. I went back in November of 2007, just to make it my favorite restaurant! I was there with a party of 5 (at first, 2 tried dishes from the regular menu and 3 of us decided to try the chef's specials). I don't know how to explain it but those were mouthwatering, delicious dishes. We all agree that Crudo was the best of all (Everything was delicious, good portions and very good quality). I have been going there almost every weekend ever since and the Chef's specials always impresses me. Friendly staff. I highly recommend this restaurant!!!!!!!!!!!! If you don't mind having an exquisite lunch or dinner next to a celebrity, make sure you eat at Tra di Noi.
- Pros: Worth the price, free parking, kid friendly, good service.
- Cons: NONE
Friendly Italian eatery tucked away in a Malibu shopping complex.

The Scene
The decor says "Tuscany," with yellow tablecloths, vaulted ceilings and pictures of fruit on the orange-hued walls. A single candle and flower decorate each table, giving the homey atmosphere a romantic feel. Wealthy couples pack the large patio, while servers fill water glasses and scrape away bread crumbs the moment they fall.
The Food
The kitchen turns out Italian delights, from pastas and thin-crust pizzas to complex salads and meat dishes. The Messico salad makes an excellent starter, with fresh romaine, chunks of avocado and a mix of corn, tomatoes and black beans. Perfectly cooked ravioli, stuffed with spinach and ricotta, floats in a rich pink sauce. Stellar entrees include the pollo romantico, its tender chicken breast and sauteed spinach drizzled in a delicious garlicky lemon sauce. Healthy ahi tuna steak is served rare and lightly seasoned with lemon and rosemary. For dessert, traditional tiramisu is four layers of pure heaven.
The best Italian food around!

This is my favorite Italian eatery in Los Angeles. My favorite food is Italian and I have been to millions of places that serve Italian food, but Tra Di Noi is by far the best. For lunch the pizza is delicious but on weekends you may wait a few minutes, and for dinner try any entree...my favorite is the ravioli, but on weekends a reservation is needed. The service is excellent and the waitors are so friendly. At night the ambiance is qaint and romantic and a great place to have a date although if you have a large group you will want to let them know since there is limited room. When you eat here you feel like you are at a small cafe in the heart of Italy!
- Pros: Delicious food, Great service, friendly atmosphere
- Cons: non locals=far drive, weekend lunch busy , weekend evenings busy
Good, but don't go out of your way.

This is a great spot to have lunch on a nice day. I live in Malibu, so I do dine here on occasion. I would however not drive here from a different city to dine here. I cannot give it a rave review. A few of the items that I have tried have been excellent. Some have been just average. I have always experienced good service here.
- Pros: nice ambience
- Cons: pricey
Find a better Italian restaurant

My husband and I went for lunch in Malibu yesterday and tried Tra di Nio. The menu had a good selection but the food took forever. The service was mediocre. The waiters didn't even check up on us about how we were doing, they just took our order, gave us the food which was much too long of a wait for simple pasta and gave us the check.
- Pros: Nice decor, Outdoor seating
Quaint Malibu Spot

Delicious Italian food in a simple, yet cozy Malibu setting. I went here once just for dinner and once for a friend's wedding reception. Both times I was very pleased with the food. I understand what the previous reviewer said about waiting, though. The wedding party had worked out all of the details with the restaurant and paid a considerable amount of money to eat there, yet we still had to wait a good 15 minutes to be seated; they were supposed to have everything waiting for us. However, the food was worth the wait--all of it. It felt like we tried one of every course on the menu that night, and I wasn't disappointed in any of it. The wine selection is pleasing as well.
- Pros: amazing food, great wine
- Cons: wait for table
