Upscale Polynesian?? by Yvette D. at InsiderPages

I guess, I get it. They're trying to make this an upscale Hawaiian/Polynesian restaurant. The food is okay. I think going there once is enough, although many will say they like it. I know of other top notch island restaurants. The bar is great to have drinks. Try it for fun.

Be transported to a lovely Polynesian setting. Despite its very urban location - they make you feel like you're having an unhurried meal on the beach. Friendly service. Spacious dining area. The food isn't extraordinary - but not bad. Parking, for a fee.
Posh Polynesian landmark thrills with a fruitful selection of drinks.

In Short
A tropical garden of kitsch--complete with faux hibiscus and exotic palms--awaits patrons as they enter this dimly lit L.A. landmark. A favorite watering hole for the rich and famous and those who aspire to be, Vic's has long been a hot Westside spot to be and be seen. The bar menu is an extravaganza of exotic cocktails, most garnished with fresh fruit, flowers or miniature plastic hula girls.
