European based hotel

The staff was cordial but by golly, the rooms were ridiculously small. The decor was cheap modernized furniture. Trying to get 'European' in getting away with such small roooms. A redone hotel but not all that nice. Average is all.

great place

My husband and I stayed here not expecting much, but were very pleasantly surprised. The rooms were cute and immaculately clean, the service was very good, and the location was very convenient. And the fact that there isn't a restaurant isn't a problem; among the many options is a 24-hour diner across the street with great food.

The Scene
One of L.A.'s brightest boutique hotels, this modernist building with a glass-fronted lobby will bring to mind James Bond films from the '60s. Fifty smartly decorated, earth-toned guest rooms and suites feature Egyptian cotton linens, down comforters, fashionable furnishings and healthy, quintessentially L.A. room-service choices.

The Details
The courtyard is a sparkling marvel, constructed of pieces of brightly colored glass, and the Cyber Lounge, where complimentary continental breakfast is served daily, helps the well-connected stay that way. Although lacking a pool and a restaurant, the hotel does have a small fitness center, in-room massage services and distinct contemporary style. For foodies, there are dozens of great restaurants within walking distance.

great place!

This hotel was such an amazing value. Breakfast and a wine and cheese reception every night. Rooms that I would expect to pay closer to $200 a night for and an extremely helpful staff. The location is perfect and the feel of the hotel is very modern and hip but not "sceney". Elan is great!

Don't Miss It

If you are looking for something off the beaten path, and don't want to stay on Sunset....this is your place. Very chic and modern feel. Super helpful staff, and the free breakfast is an added perk. You can walk to shopping, dinner, and tons of bars. I will come back.

This is a small boutique hotel that offers great service and is very clean. The beds were so comfortable and the location is great. They provide bathrobes and really nice skin care products.

Very good value for a hotel in this part of Los Angeles.
