Okay stay

by johnnydrema at Citysearch

I read the other reviews before we stayed and was l little scared but it wasn't to bad. Our airconditioner did have a funny smell but they replaced it within 15 minutes after we complained. Rooms are average and kind of small, carpet was dirty and the chair in our room was stained with something but the beds were clean. Pool was nice and heated. We were not in the room much so it wasn't to bad. the breakfast was not much, but we still had a good time. There is no microwave int he room. I probally would not stay here again. The staff however was wonderful. They always were saying hi or goodmorning,or evening as you passed them. I guess this is a good hotel is you are on a budget.

3 * HOTEL IN BURBANK

by PAARVA at Citysearch

I would never come back again. The breakfast was awful. The rooms were so small and depresing . It is like a motel. At night I could not sleep at all, you could here everyboday walking and talking outside, even my next door room-you can here the flush in the bathroom in your room next to you.I only was amazed with one thing, one day I forgot my gold(worth 2000 dollars) on the table in the room, 4 pieces, when I came back they've cleaned the room but still there. If you consider this hotel as a 3* hotel is okay to get here.

Two thumbs down.

by Karenbythesea at Citysearch

Pets are not allowed to stay unattended, without a muzzle and 200 dollar non-refundable deposit.

Continental breakfast is tiny bagels and tiny muffins.

No public bathroom either in lobby or by the pool.

No management on duty EVER on weekends to help with problems.

I will not recommend this to anyone whom cares about their pets.

Nowhere is this listed on their website.

Sunday morning, we got up early to take advantage of the continental breakfast in the lobby; when we went in, we were snubbed, not acknowledged in any way by the staff, yet people kept coming in to check out early or come in early; all were warmly greeted.

The continental breakfast for Sunday morning consisted of tiny muffins, the smallest bagels I've ever seen and a toaster for guests to toast them. There were two pitchers of orange juice and two pots of coffee.

Also, downstairs where the laundry/ice machines/soft drink machines and such are, the soft drink machine was out of service. Maybe keeping extra supplies on hand in the lobby for purchase?

  • Pros: If you need a roof for the night
  • Cons: No management on hand, pets cannot stay alone unless they are muzzled and a non-refundable $200 paid.

Retro

by vorikwear at Citysearch

Great little hotel in the heart of Burbank. It's sister property next door is for you if you're looking for luxury, but if you're price conscious, then the Safari should be your choice. I've stayed in the City of Burbank on business for the past 5 years and the Safari Inn is the least expensive 3 diamond hotel in the entire city. You can try to find something less expensive, but you'll only find 2 star hotels on the freeway. Trust me, i've looked. The Safari has everything you need (Wi-Fi, free parking, free airport shuttle, etc.).

The staff is absolutely wonderful as well. Ask the front desk for something and see if they won't do it for you. They're great, all of them.

  • Pros: Least expensive 3 star in the whole city
  • Cons: exterior corridors

A groovy, retro, surf-inspired motel in the heart of Burbank.

by Contributor at Citysearch

The Scene
You'll find this small motel crowned by swaying palm trees and a funky, beautifully restored neon sign reminiscent of Southern California in the late '60s and early '70s. It also captures the mood of a bygone era, when the typical roadside American motor lodge offered clean rooms, great prices and personality and style to boot.

The Details
Guest rooms are outfitted in colorful fabrics with large beds and front doors overlooking the pleasant sundeck and pool area, which the motel shares with its sister hotel, the lesser-known Anabelle Hotel. For those willing to sacrifice luxury hotel amenities for retro style, this surf shack-inspired inn is a hidden treasure set in central Burbank.

LOCATION

by immortaltonton at Citysearch

This little hotel was near everything I wanted to see in Hollywood and Universal. Great price and I have to admit that it was kind of neat that I was staying at a hotel that so many movies were filmed at. Great service and staff. I'll be back...

Cool Retro Hotel

by taradelis_citysearch at Citysearch

The Safari is one of your best bets for lodging in Burbank. It's very 1950s in everything from the room decor to the brightly lit neon sign to the pool area. In fact, it's used in a lot of period piece movies, as well as films/tv shows going for a nostalgic feel. I feel that the prices should come down a notch or two (I don't see that it's worth more than $100 per night), but it is a clean and comfortable place to stay for just about anyone.

  • Pros: retro feel, swimming pool, safe area
  • Cons: a little pricey

Best in the area!!!

by cmdrsquisho at Citysearch

We recently stayed at the Safari and were impressed. The room was extremely clean and had tons of amenities, ie. hairdryer, fridge, coffeemaker w/ coffee, room service, that most motels don't have. Great sign and pool.

  • Pros: good parking, safe neighborhood, great restaurant
