This is 1 of the best in the westside

This theatre is nice relativelyclean serves alcohol.. Only reason why I gave it 4 stars is thefact that fri and sat u will have a lot of ghetto kids that show up from surrounding neighborhoods.. Really annoying. But all in all if u can deal with the ghetto people that come see shetto movies like barbershop or any tyler perry movie its good.

Best theater on the west side

If you want to see a movie on the west side, there is only one place and that is the bridge. 3D and stadium seating available. Treat yourself to the Director's Cut or IMAX for a unique experience. Truly, I would rather attend the Grove, but in a pinch, the Bridge will do just fine. Although, get there early to enjoy a cocktail in their lounge...you may need it to tolerate the often "interactive" audiences on their cell phones.

Changed for the worse

i used to love going to the Bridge Cinema de Lux. I've been a customer since they opened. I could buy a reserved seat in the Directors Hall or the IMAX and the extra expense seemed to narrow the crowd to people who actually wanted to see the movie. I just sat down to buy tickets to see Avatar in the IMAX. I called the phone number to see if there were good seats left, and to buy tickets. I ended up in voice menu hell. Not only are the voice menus designed to keep you from speaking to a live person, there is advertising everytime you try a menu item in an attempt to buy a ticket. I finally gave up without being able to speak with anyone. I really resent National Amusements considering me a captive audience they can serve ads to with impunity while I try to attend their theater. Since I can't check on the available seats this theater is no longer special and there's no reason to go there: the same or better is available nearer my home, including AMC theaters. In my opinion National Amusements (not necessarily the Bridge) deserves the finger.

Bring your earplugs!!!!!!!

I've been going to this theater since it opened, but about a year ago they started cranking up the volume way too much!

I've had to leave screenings many times before to tell them to lower it.

Last night I saw Avatar there, after seeing it the night before at AMC Century City... it was so loud it was uncomfortable.

I complained to the manager and she told me that they have to set the decibel level to whatever the movie production tells them to. Right.... I just saw the same movie in another theater the night before and the volume was just fine. I also have the same problem every time I see a movie here, and no problems at other theathers (AMC Century City, Landmark, Mann Village, etc...).

In my opinion it is disrespectful for them to crank their volume o high. More than that, unconscionable. I am done going there and I am saving my hearing in the process. If you go... make sure you bring earplugs!

BTW... the volume in the previews is cranked up even higher.... their staff even admits to that. Which simply serves as an excuse for staff to tell you "The volume is loud only during the previews." and not take any iniative to lower it. They are right... it is louder during the previews... INSANELY LOUD... and they lower it to CRAZY LOUD when the movie starts.

One of La's finest movie theatres

First off....if you are a cheapskate then dont even bother. This place was designed for people who want to have a good time and dont mind spending a few bucks. The parking is nice and includes a car wash as well as valet parking. Easy access to the theatre followed by easy ticket purchases. Head inside to find an actualy bar upstairs....saw "The Hangover" after having a few drinks lol made for a great time. This is a great place to enjoy yourself but like i said.....if u dont have the money or your a little on the young side....I suggest Blockbuster :)

Best for Culver City

I have been going to the Bridge ever since it opened and I have been satisfied and impressed each time I go. The crowds aren't rowdy. They might be (saw Bedtime stories and they were about 5 rowdy teenagers). But after 2 minutes, they were kindly escorted out of the theater by staff. The IMAX is impressive and it's always a treat to go to the Director's Hall for a movie in huge leather seats. The stadium seating (as opposed to flat seating) is always great. The Bridge is my first choice in where to see a movie. The person with the comment on the overflowing trash-cans: I have never been there at such a time (I have gone about 300 times).

Crazy Manager

I had to make a business call to this place asking for show times and the manager told me he would slit my throat if I ever called back again. I'm not joking, my entire office was astounded. I have never experienced such rudeness from anyone before. I have never been to the bridge but with management like that I wouldn't recomend it.

Two simple words of advice: RIP OFF.

First, regardless of what day or time it is, you're going to pay $2 to park your car when parking is FREE pretty much everywhere else. Then, if you're a first time visitor, you don't know how much you're paying because they don't list the prices at the line. It's not until you get the tickets that you realize they just charged you $14.50 for regular adult admission per ticket on a weeknight. WTF!!!!? And mind you, this is to watch a movie not in IMAX but in one of their average theater rooms?and I mean smaller-average screens. Save your money. There are plenty of better value theaters in LA.

GREAT SEATS! NICE COMPLEX! VOLUME IS TOO, TOO HIGH...

Seats that accomodate me at 6'1"? SLAMMIN'!!! Very comfortable, slight-recline seats in a faux leather material of some sort. Leg room like you wouldn't believe. I actually like this theater better than the Academy's theater on Wilshire. HOWEVER.... the sound tech (projectionist...) needs to check the sound levels. The volume was too loud, and I went to see a film without a lot of explosive sound (Sweeney Todd). Look, I'm in the business, and I do sound. Trust me, i know. Film was at 4:15, it's 10:00, and my ears are still ringing...

I really enjoy the complex itself. Parking is cheap (I paid two bucks on a week night). Food is overpriced. why do they do this in theaters? Wish i knew... Bar area is pretty fly. Cafe is cozy.

Good spot if you want to do, let's say, two movies in a day.

VOLUME... they HAVE to get the volume right. THAT'S A HAZARD TO CHILDREN!! I would NOT recommend taking children to a theater that cranks the volume up so high.

Awesome assigned-seating theater

There's a bar upstairs to get your drink (and even a limited menu of food) before your show. Their Directors Halls are really comfy if not a tad overpriced. I don't really like the area outside the theater that much and it's a bit far from the westside. But their IMAX screens are amazing and when I'm in the area, I'd prefer this theater to others in the area.
