beautiful wedding spot

I actually went to this hotel this past weekend for a wedding, and the decor was simplistic yet stunning. The wedding took place outside in the outdoors, which had minimal decoration, but the area was extremely serene with stone fountains and an Asiatic vibe. The indoor reception was even more beautiful, decorated with simple greens and whites; It seemed very upscale without looking too pretentious.
Converted boutique hotel makes for a tranquil refuge at the busy edge of 405 and Sunset.

Located just minutes from Brentwood, this accessible pet-friendly oasis spans seven acres of lush greenery. Each of the 161 guestrooms is equipped with a flat-screen TV, iPod-base station, blackout curtains and Italian-made bed linens. Golf carts transport guests from bedside to poolside, or to the Zen-inspired spa. The hotel's main restaurant, OnSunset, serves seasonal, upscale comfort food while the charming Luxe Lounge offers small plates like Kobe beef sliders and truffle pomme frites.

I visited the Luxe on a total whim, and my stay ended up being fantastic. The location was great! It was so nice to find a peaceful place to stay in Los Angeles...for once. The accomodations and staff are definately one my top five now!! My room was VERY comfortable and I would definately recommend this facility to anyone who wanted to really enjoy a stay in L.A. with out having to deal with any trouble!
- Pros: Really great location!
- Cons: A bit expensive...but well worth it!
Absolute Nightmare!

I was at the hotel a few weeks ago and this is what I found. First off I was greeted by a front desk staff of smiles, the only redeeming quality about this place, I was then put into a room with moldy grout and a door that the keys never opened the door. On one occasion I returned to my room to find a insect larger than the apples that are so perfectly placed on their front reception area crawling on the floor in my room. I would only recomend the Luxe hotel if you wanted to go camping with a friendly group of people working on the grounds.

Having recently renovated this past year, this hotel went from dump to Trump! It's hard to believe that you are seconds away from the 405, but barely hear a sound. Everything has been reworked in the trendy minimalist style with walls painted a brownish-charcoal and decorated with varying hues of black, white, and natural. I recommend the Oasis Lounge and definitely try their appetizers.
A good but expensive hotel.

I stayed here for 5 days in a single room with king bed. The service here was good. However, the amenity of the room was a little bit old-fashioned. Although every room had a small courtyard, there was no boudary. That was not private enough. There were actually many bus stops near the hotel, both on the Sunset blvd and Church lane. Not necessary to take taxi everytime. Generally speaking, this is a good hotel but a little bit over-priced.
- Pros: Good service, Spacious, Good environment
it's a dump

i was in LA for a week visit - first I stayed at the Sofitel, which was a superb hotel. Then I went to Las Vegas and stayed at Mandalay Bay - which was also excellent. Finally, for my last two nites in LA I made a mistake and stayed at the Luxe Summit - it was a dump, everything was old and had the old vintage garage sale smell. Don't stay unless you enjoy a typical Marriott.
- Pros: inexpensive, bel air, sunset blvd
- Cons: old, run down, smells, insects
