Atrocious customer service

I've never experienced anything like Fred Segal. I purchased a $150.00 shirt from their website, but never received the shirt or any explanation for why my order was not filled. I called the store and spoke to a rather rude woman who took down my information and told me that someone would contact me with my order's whereabouts. When no one called me back, I sent Fred Segal both a letter and an e-mail asking for an explanation. I've never received a reply. Given that Fred Segal has treated me, a new customer, with nothing but contempt, I cannot recommend the place.

BEST HAIR EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE MY HAIR!!!!!! It is not something I have ever said before but, WOW!!! First off I walked in the door shamefully due to the currant state of my hair. I thought OK they will have me here for 5 hours and it will probably cost me upwards of my rent but "the price of beauty right" . Wrong I sat down with Mr. Preece himself and he calmed my fears instantly. He went in the back room and within 1 hour My mess of a mop was shiny and ready, and worthy of a hair commercial. The price was less than I thought and the service across the board was great. I have found my hair guy and I am loving it!!!!!!!!!!!! I always felt small when I went in to a new salon but all my worries are gone now. Also FYI Mr. Preece is english, rocker, and HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

MUST VISIT WESTSIDE SALON!!

Preece & Toff at Fred Segal far exceeded my expectations for a first time visit to a new salon. I had been searching for a new stylist/ salon & am SO glad I heard about them! A friend had told me about the new salon that just opened at Fred Segal shortly after Fred Segal Beauty closed. When I first got there I was SO surprised at the changes that had been made! The energy is much more relaxed, & the style of the salon is simple, but chic, much like a downtown loft or art studio. Its zen, but rock & roll at the same time. It's hard to believe the previous owners allowed it to look so out dated. The stylist they chose for me is a perfect match, & I also got the best manicure I've ever had. I am in love with Preece & Toff!!!!

Fred Segal Beauty reopened with new ownership!! "Preece & Toff"

After always receiving the same mediocre service going to Fred Segal Beauty, when I heard they were closing their doors & being reopened under new ownership, i was super excited. Once the new salon "Preece & Toff" in Fred Segal opened up, i was eager to get in & check out the changes. The salon has been completely remodeled & the vibe is nothing but positive! Shopping Heaven

Fred Segal is the best shopping experience ever. I love going in there and dreaming about what I want buy. They have a wide range of brands and price ranges. If you're hungry there is a cafe and parking is easy. Go check out shopping heaven!

Love this store but it is just too expensive. Also since it is a bunch of designers in a clothing mini mall you never get any personal attention.

Hi ladies... Let me tell you, I'm a born and raised so cal blond who has spent YEARS years trying to find someone who could duplicate my childhood blond and years also seeking out the best blond hair colorist in LA (and believe me, I've tried quite a few at ALL price ranges!!) her name is Britney and she's a total gem. WIll listen to you and give you exactly what you want and I've never recieved more compliments after getting my hair colored than I do after getting my color done by her. Secondly, hands down, gives the best blowout - I've even gone in for special occasions just for that! Search no more if you are looking for someone who can and will give you amazing blond!

• Cons: Now you will all know about Britney!

unpleasant experience.

I have been to many nice salons in the LA area, and was expecting only the best from fred segal beauty. I was truly let down... Beyond this, everything was below my expectations for the prices they charge. I was extremely shocked to see how the senior stylists treat their assistants and "lower level" staff... I will be brief, but in the 3 hour span that I was at the salon, I witnessed some unprofessional treatment of employees. I would avoid this salon at all costs.

amazing haircut by Walton

Walton has been cutting my hair every 6 weeks for a long time now and is the best! I have very short hair and he's really good at coming up with lots of classic cuts when I want something different (but might not know what that is). He's also a wardrobe stylist and makeup artist, so he's really good at integrating my hairstyle into my whole look. He's a very warm (and fun) person and gives a perfect amount of attention during the cut. I don't know any of the other stylists at Fred Segal Beauty, but I continue to send my friends to see Walton and they're always happy. (His cuts grow out beautifully, by the way... and he also does color.)

Hair, Nails and Cellulite, it's all the Rage

I went into Fred Segal Beauty needed help in three areas and what I got, I absolutley love.

1. My hair was out of control. My trusted and beloved hair dresser of 5 years moved to New York a year ago and its been impossible trying to replace her, but luckily, I stumbled into one of the best hair salons I've experienced anywhere. I was pleasantly greeted by a cute conceirge girl when I walked in for my appointment, seated, and served coffee, wine, fancy european water (hey why not), chocolates, whatever I had itch for... and then, Amber Maynard, my new angel, swooped me up, sat me in her chair, listened to what kind of cut I wanted and executed it perfectly, PERFECTLY. My hair is thick, difficult and damaged and she transformed it into light, easy and shiny. Thank god, because if I had to go to another hairdresser that I "kinda" liked again, I'd have to shave my head, and that would be tragic. Honestly, it's really hard for me to be satisfied with a hairstylist and finding Amber feels like I won the lottery. She is godsent!

2. My nails needed a fix. After my haircut, I made an appointment for a manicure at their spa, and unlike the previous review, I had a great manicure experience. My girls name was Michelle and she was professional, polished and experienced. There were a million polish colors to pick from, she was super conversational and friendly, and my nails were flawless.

3. There is hope for my cellulite stricken thighs. I talked with one of their estheticians, Raquel, about what to do about my cellulite, and let me just say, there is nothing I trust more than when the esthetician herself has flawless skin, a great complexion, a knock out figure, and is sweet on top of it all. She told me quite a bit about Endermologie, their anti-cellulite treatment, showed me pictures of results and I just couldn't help myself, I made an appointment.

It was a full salon and spa experience, and i loved every minute of it! The people, the space, all on point!
