Come to L.A. Mary Kay!
by spookycat199
Yoga Works is without a doubt a yoga factory. Classes are hot, tightly packed and somewhat impersonal. The teachers (with a very few exceptions) are good -- even great in some cases -- and the yoga they practice has patience and good form. Sadly, Yoga Works does not offer many Ashtanga-style classes and also does not have a teacher who stands out in this particular style. So Yoga Works, get your act together and hire Mary Kay West, Ashtanga teacher extraordinaire. Other than that? Namaste.
- Pros: hard, core , yoga
- Cons: sweat , shop, style
No mere yoga studio, an on-site store offers workout gear, cookbooks and jewelry.

The Scene
Balance is not achieved through stretching alone; it's important that one dress appropriately for the part of holistic happiness. Its possible to do both at this cozy Westside venue. The space is bright and comfortable, and while most of the shoppers are Yoga Works students, that shouldn't scare away passers-bys.
The Goods
The typical variety of pants and tanks expected from a yoga-center store are available, but the collection of Puma athletic wear is worth a browse, too. It also carries post-workout clothes like jeans, long-sleeved tops and colorful wraps. Check back for special pieces, such as hand-painted tank tops or organic cotton sweaters, as the stock frequently changes. There are also candles and a very small collection of jewelry. Across the room is a shelf full of cookbooks, self-help books and CDs for sale.
