So much MORE than Good Pizza!
by chloeluvsushi
I was staying in the Renaissance Hotel, connected to the H&H Mall that the California Pizza Kitchen is also hooked on to. This is SUCH good food! I absolutely loved it!
I'm not a big fan of pizza, but the thin crust is incredible. Light, crispy, perfectly salty, it was great. My boy got the pizza while I ordered the White Bean Minestrone. Man, can they make soups as well! It was great! Well seasoned, fresh beans and chunky veggies, it was dreamy. Loved it. I've never had a white bean soup, but it was great. Prices were very reasonable too!
My friend go the fresh fish tacos, loved them, while another friend got the spicy chicken pizza, also said to be delicious. Dining outside the restaurant was great, and the staff was so patient and knowledgeable about the menu. I would love to go back!
(Plus, you've GOT to try the Strawberry Limeade....yum).
Watch your pie bake in a wood-fired oven at this national chain with global culinary influences.

In Short
Founded in Beverly Hills in 1985, these eateries with the trademark yellow, black and white color scheme have spread nationwide. The decor consists of simple wood and glass with roomy black leather booths. The thin-crust pizzas come with innovative toppings from Asia, Latin America and the Southwest; signature pizzas like the Original BBQ Chicken and Jamaican Jerk Chicken compete with old standbys like pepperoni and traditional cheese. Pastas, salads, soups and sandwiches round out the menu.
Great view, good food, nice people watching

This particular CPK enjoys probably the best views of all CPKs -- the Hollywood Sign. Sit outside for that view and some great people watching, or take a table indoors for some comfort and peace as compared to busy mall outside. I recommend the goat cheese pizza followed up by the KEY LIME pie ... oh, delicious!
- Pros: Convenient for meeting friends
- Cons: Touristy
is it worth it?

some of the items on the menu are pretty good. right now i'm finishing up my tri-colore salad w/ chicken, and it's not bad. after tax and adding the chicken, it came to almost $18. -- for a salad.
