Great BBQ Joint!. Great food! Was pleasantly surprised. Tender, flavorful BBQ and they actually got me to eat a fried pickle ~ and even that was delicious!!!! Wth?!Lol!!! Lucille's is doing everything right. I can vouch for the baby back ribs, and the pulled pork sandwich with the slaw piled on top. The sides are good (not great), but you won't be disappointed. Friendly service and great BBQ joint w/Southern roadhouse type ambience. Enjoy! :)

Best BBQ in Southern California. Very clean, friendly and quick service. No long wait for food. Great variety of BBQ to choose from. The Baby Back Ribs are delecious and fresh. There is a bar area if you want to enjoy a drink and or eat. Decorated with Southern/Jazzy feel. One of my FAVORITE restaurants!

yummy barbecue, cool place to eat. I've been to this Lucille's location a couple of times. Both times, very impressed with the barbecue offerings. My daughter loved the grilled cheese (they have a limited kids menu) and we shared a yummy cobbler. I would say we waited quite a while for our food but it was super crowded. Generally crowded place, but they handle the demand well.

Great food in an exciting atmosphere. The food here is really good but if you don't like huge portions maybe don't go here. The have a great diverse menu and I haven't tried anything on the menu I didn't like. The place does get pretty crowded for dinner so call ahead or plan on enjoying a drink in the bar. Its a great scene and very lively. Some even have live music on the weekends.

Food is ok, at least better than Claim Jumper's on Crenshaw Blvd.. Food nothing to write home about, I had better barbecue. The biscuits were good though. I will eat here again still if I go to a party or a friend wants to eat there.

Lucille's in Torrance & Long Beach ROCKS the best BBQ!. Excellent Southern style BBQ and smoked meats that taste just like Aunt Bebe's home-style cooking. The cornbread will break your carb-free diet every single time! So delicious and yummy like no other BBQ place here in Socal. You have to try Lucille's Smokehouse! You'll find happy people, friendly service and mouth watering BBQ delights!

BBQ that was worth the long wait.. We were originally quoted a 2.5 hour wait for a table of 10 tonight, but luckily people flaked and we had an hour wait for a table of 6. Unfortunately Lucille's no longer takes reservations so be prepared for a wait unless you get there early as in "just opened for dinner 5 mins. ago early". Very packed with many large groups of 20+ and being part of a large mall, Del Amo, there were quite a few kids as well. Drinks at the bar were nice and strong, interesting chioce of using jars as cups. We started with onion strings and stuffed jalapenos which were tasty and not too greasy. Everyone at the table had something different and no one had any complaints of the food. Spareribs and baby backs were tender and meaty. Beef ribs a little tough close to the bone but were juicy and had a lot of meat. Tri-tip was tender enough to rip apart with fingers and the 1/2 chicken was juicy and plump even the breast part. And they serve massive amounts of food for decent prices, about $25 for the BBQ combo entrees. No room for dessert so no comment on that. Great place except for the immense crowds and long wait. Service was so so, sometimes waitress would be around quickly but then would disappear for 15 min. stretches and it took about 20 mins to get coffee at the end. I would definitely recommend this place.

Started good, ended bad!. First off, I'm originally from St. Louis so I am very particular about BBQ. When this place first opened, I thought, "Finally a place who knows BBQ!!" However, the last few months the food and service has progressively gotten so bad I don't go anymore. Shame, it had a good thing going but somewhere on the way it jumped the track and totally derailed.

I love this place!. I'd prefer this place over Claim Jumpers any day! The atmosphere is a lot livelier and the servers are very friendly. They have the best apple butter and biscuits, and their drinks are served in HUGE jars that you probably won't need to refill. The pork ribs are delish, and I especially like their tri-tip salad (when you're in the mood for something lighter). This place is always packed on the weekends, so defintely make a reservation.
