Hurray for Breakfast!

by Glad85

My roommate and I went here and were not disappointed. We got a massive amount of eggs, sausage, bacon and hash browns and were not disappointed. I would highly recommend going to anyone who has not been to one before!

  • Pros: Its Denny's
  • Cons: A little busy during peak breakfast hours

Known for its breakfasts, this diner chain slings all-American grub and bottomless cups of coffee.

In Short
With its kid-friendly vibe, booth seating and late-night hours (most stores are open 24 hours), Denny's draws night owls, seniors and families with kids. The menu sticks to classic American staples: wings, chicken strips, burgers, salads and the like. But breakfast is king, with specialties ranging from skillets, egg scrambles, French toast platters and several variations on the famous Grand Slam: two buttermilk pancakes, two eggs, two bacon strips and two sausage links.

Special Blend coffee ain't so special.

by coffeecupper

Food is good diner fare, but the crux of my reviews is coffee... Yes the service was very good, and the breakfast eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, and eggs were everything I look for in a diner breakfast. In fact, the coffee was exactly everything I expect from a diner breakfast, too-- quite unfortunate. Unfortunate especially since they were touting the qualities of the new special blend on the placemat in front of me. I guess the slightly over-roasted quality is what they consider special, for you don't get a darker roast in a diner. Regardless, I must admit the pre-heated mugs were a nice touch. Oh, and there's plenty of parking.

  • Pros: pre-heated coffee cups
  • Cons: so-so coffee
