Great Pastrami Sandwiches
by JonSoleymani at Citysearch
if you love pastrami, check out Johnnie's in Culver City. The food is great, cheap, and fun. Either before or after a night of drinking in the area, nothing hits the spot like a Johnnie's famous pastrami!
- Pros: Great food, cheap prices
Bad attitude, bad prices, ok pastrami
by sigmaajk at Citysearch
It’s sad that I have to write this. This used to be one of my favorite places to get pastrami. However I think they have forgotten how to make it and how to be friendly to their customers. I don't mind paying for quality but $11+ for a 7inch sandwich and getting bad attitude from everyone behind the counter while getting ripped off. Well that’s just too much for me. I miss the old Johnnie's!
- Cons: service and prices
Best in the West
by PomLover at Citysearch
Johnnies is the palce to be for good pastrami sandwiches. I like the old fashion juke boxes at the tables. The open fire pit outside at night is great as well. The sandwiches are a bit pricey, but there wortth it. The pickles they serve are the best as well. This is the place to be for a good meal.
- Pros: Best Pastrami ever
- Cons: The Price
Pastrami is as good as Weinerschnitzels

If you like greasy pastrami then this is the place for you. If you like good pastrami then do not go here. I wouldn't recommend Domino's pizza for someone looking for good pie and wouldn't recommend this place for good pastrami. Grease is the word. If you like greasy pastrami then go crazy at this place.
- Pros: Pickle was good
- Cons: Pastrami is as good as Weinerschitzels

GREAT FOOD AND APMOSPHERE, AND FANTASTIC PICKLES, LITTLE ATTITUDE, BUT NOT BAD. YOU WILL BE STUFFED WHEN YOU LEAVE, AND YOU WILL BE BURPING PASTRAMI ALL DAY.
LOVE THE JUKE BOX CONTROLLERS AT THE TABLES

- Cons: PRICEY
Johnnie's Pastrami & Titos Tacos are da Bomb
by Hawaii96815 at Citysearch
Johnnie's & Tito's are almost next door to each other near the corner of Sepulveda BL. & Washington PL. in Culver City, CA. Exit the 405 fwy. at Venice/Washington BL. & you're there. Parking can be a challenge, but it's worth the inconvenience. I've been going to these restaurants for 45 years. I don't live in the L.A. area anymore, so I really miss Johnnie's & Tito's.... Whenever I'm in the L.A. area, here is what I do: I drop off my wife to wait in line at Titos. (the beef, bean, rice & cheese burritos are the best anywhere) After my wife has procured 2 burritos to go, she meets me at Johnnie's where I have already secured a nice table outside next to the fireplace. About this time, the waitress is bringing our greasy, gooey, delicious Johnnie's tacos & their signature original Johnnie's Chili Size.... (Johnnie's has never complained about us bringing in the Tito's burritos) Tito's is great, but lacks the classic '50's ambiance of Johnnie's. I like Johnnie's tacos better than Tito's also. As I recall, you can get a beer at Johnnie's, but not at Tito's. Before I leave Johnnie's, I usually order (to go) one of their big delicious pastrami sandwiches with onions, lots of mustard & extra Johnnie's pickles.
Best Pastrami on the Westside

Great place for a pastrami sandwich. Has its own parking lot that is usually full. I hate character limits. I hate character limits. I hate character limits. I hate character limits. I hate character limits. I hate character limits.

Best Pastrami Place of All Time
by mynameisqiana at Citysearch
I have been eating at Jonnie's since I was a kid and I still crave it to this day. Even though I dont live in LA anymore, I have my dad ship me a good ol pastrami sandwich about twice a month. Its a little pricy but it is worth it. High recommended to tourists or anyone craving a really good pastrami sandwich.
Okay, But Overpriced
by GEAH at Citysearch
Johnnie's is certainly okay. But the price is far out of line for what you get.
A Deluxe Pastami Plate and Coke will, with tip, set you back right around $20. It's simply not a $20 meal.
$$$$$$

over $14 for a pastrami and fries. I've had way better pastrami at lots of other locations not worth it
