User Reviews for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

I absolutely loved this sequel to the first year of Harry Potter's wizarding life! The story was great and the casting was perfect! I couldn't think of better people to play the parts of Gilderoy Lockhart and Lucius Malfoy than, Kenneth Brannagh and Jason Issacs. The acting was awesome. This movie made me laugh, cry, and anxious at times! It is a true masterpiece and I eagerlly await the third movie to follow Harry Potter into his next mystical year of being a wizard.

Stunning visual efects and a catching plot make you not want to leave your seat until the very end of the film. Excellent for children indeed.

Alan Rickman, Jason Isaacs, AND Kenneth Branagh. Oh My! Ronald Weasly is a little less annoying in this one, and Hermione is a little more palatable. The quidditch game was much more enjoyable and not quite as hokey as the first film. Sir Richard will be terribly missed. :-(

Pros: Good Entertainment, Good laughs

Cons: Not for kids under 4, Long running time

The first of the Potter movies was pretty good, but I found this one to lack soul. I think it's the story (my least favorite of the books). The special effects were ok, but Doby was kind of lame. I liked the Malfoy father, but it still wasn't enough to keep me interested. These poor kid actors have a rude awakening after the third film is done. I predict it's the last of the Potterwood.

The effects were great, the popcorn too! The movie was just way too long to keep interest. I thought it would never end! Too redundant....but I like Harry anyway.

Pros: Visuals, Acting, Sound

Cons: Too Long

This movie was really close to what was in the book. Okay, even being a major Harry potter Fan I have to admit the last five minutes were far from touching if thats what they where trying to do. Oh well, I still loved this movie!

Pros: Cute

Cons: Corny
