Great Bar-B-que at Great prices

My wife and I used to go to the South Gate location until it closed years ago. Since then, we frequent the Bellflower one and on occasion go to the Downey location. Steaks, ribs, chicken, some seafood. The only thing on the menu over $20 is the Combo for Two. Every dinner comes with soup or salad, garlic bread, baked potato or fries, and baked beans. This is one of the hidden bargains of Southern California. Great food (lots of it), and you don't need to take out a small loan to pay for it. Our waitress was always ready to serve. On July 4, 2006 we went to the Bellflower location, and really enjoyed it. I wish someday someone would open more locations.

Awesome BBQ!

To me it is the best BBQ restaurant I have ever been to. Starting from the fascinating blue cheese on the salad all the way to thei awesome bbq sauce. Great aged meat. even the meatloaf is great! Great place when you are reaaaaly hungry ;)

great food, greater price!

Ambience is homely casual as the dress attire. The food is hearty homestyle BBQ chicken, pork ribs, and you gotta try thr big plate of beef ribs! The entire experience is casual and comfortable. Dont worry there are salads too. You walk into the restaurant and smell the sweet smell of barbeque in the air. Make sure you give the waitress your name because there is a line most of the time but the wait is minimal. If you're hungry and want some really good barbeque for not allot of money, you gotta try this restaurant!

• Cons: ok parking, crowded sometimes
