At this upscale, all-suite hotel chain, guests enjoy abundant amenities and a free cooked-to-order breakfast.

In Short
In 1984, the first Embassy Suites location debuted in Overland Park, Kan. Today, the property's luxury accommodations make it an ideal hotel for conferences, special events and weddings. All hotel rooms are spacious two-room suites that include a separate living area with a sofa bed and desk, a private bedroom, two televisions, a wet bar, a refrigerator and a coffeemaker. Guests may also attend a nightly reception with beverages.

Great value

Everyone here is friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable for the business traveler. Wireless internet access, a great free breakfast and cocktail hour every evening. tends to be noisy if you have a room on the ground floor because there are children everywhere! The grounds are lovely with koi ponds and ducks, exotic plants and a very open feeling. This place is a fantastic value, especially if you are traveling with kids.

  • Pros: Grat value, beautiful grounds, helpful staff
  • Cons: Noisy kids

Great Value

The rooms are lovely suites that can accomodate several guests comfortably. It is like a home away from home. The nightly managers reception is great. You can enjoy drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), popcorn or chips and salsa for free with the other guests. While there is a fee for parking even for guests you can find parking on the street that is very close by and even directly in front of the hotel itself. The only drawback is that it can be very crowded and noisy especially in the pool area.

Lovely Decor

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room layout is unique, with windows on either side of the door (curtained) so that you can sit in the living room area and see outside to the beautiful greenery, fountains, and koi ponds in the lobby. We brought our small children and they had fun looking out the windows at the people below. One problem was that breakfast was included with the room, but the dining area was so small and crowded that we had to skip it. I would advise guests to have breakfast early on weekends for that reason. Also, note that the hotel does charge for on-site parking for guests.

  • Pros: Lobby Decor, Inexpensive, Suite Layout
  • Cons: Parking Fee, Somewhat Noisy
