Grand Illusion - Poor Customer Service

I once used to have my hair done by the owner, Anita, for quite awhile. One time I made an appointment for the following Thursday to get my hair done, the girl who answered the phone took my appointment. When I called that Thursday morning to confirm, the owner told me that I did NOT have an appointment that day and she could not see me. I was annoyed to say the least, and never went back. Their loss.

Also, I tried to make an appointment to get a set of nails. The manicurist said I had to wait 2 weeks! I hung up on her. I can get my nails done at any nail salon in town, rather than wait 2 weeks. Who do they think they are?

I give this salon thumbs down, for poor customer service.

I have been a loyal client of Grand Illusions ever since 2000. It has became much better after the new ownership in 2003. I have watched this salon grow from an "old lady blue hair" salon to a modern and beautiful setting. Who ever wrote about the "nails" is completely LYING because they have not had a manicurist in this salon since 2000, so you should do your research first before you present your LIES. Thank you for making every experience fantastic!

I went to Grand Illusions, and had a bit of a different experience. The employees there were so warm and friendly. I have never felt so comfortable, it were as if I had known them forever. Gia gave me highlights and a haircut, she put so much time and effort into giving me just what I wanted. Other places I have been have made me wait around and shoved me aside while they worked on other people, but not here I had full attention. I highly recommend Grand Illusions for that small town feeling that we just don't see enough of these days!

My Hair was Butchered.

Do not go here. I went here for a trim and ended up getting my hair BUTCHERED. The stylist thinned out the bottom of my hair so it looked limp and flat. She gave me more bangs and cut random bangs in the middle of my head. I looked almost as if I had a mullet. I was so upset I cried nonstop until I went to another salon to get it fixed. I was going to go back and demand a fix for free, but when I called, the stylist gave me a bit of attitude. This was the worst haircut I've ever recieved. Everything that I said I didn't want, she gave me. She thinned out my thick, gorgeous hair for godssakes! It was a disaster. I still have to wait for those random short hairs in the middle of my head to grow back, but after going to the Parlour on 3rd, my hair looks much better and I don't have to cry when I look in the mirror anymore.

• Cons: inept stylists that don't listen to a word you say
