My girl and I just tried this place out. We had driven by it many times and I always commented on the sign. It looked like a fun divey kind of place. Our requirements: 1.) no long drive to the West Side or Hollywood, or Silverlake, 2.) clean bar, 3.) low prices, 4.) drinks mixed with precision and a lotta love, 5.) a friendly down-to-earth staff, 6.) no lines getting to the bar, and 7.) no sketchies! I know, I know: does such a place in LA exist? Listen up, young drinkers in your 20s and 30s! This place DELIVERS! Sam, the owner was amazing--he was hospitable, taking the time to come over and meet us. Tony the cute bartender, can really cut a rug on the dance floor, Leo the DJ will spin anything to your specifications, the doorguy was super-chill, and we all had a GREAT time. We had so much fun that I called five more friends to come over and join us, and THEY had a blast. The best part: every drink we had was mixed perfectly. I kind of regret writing this now . . . maybe I should have kept it more of a secret . . . definitely the coolest bar in our neighborhood.

The happy hour and regular prices for drinks are the best in town and well worth it. The bartenders are friendly, so take care of them. Always have a great time here and meet new people. If there is a downside, the bar closes at 2am or eventually you have to cut yourself off. In any event, its just old time fun. Oh, and bartender Toni is a hottie.
Pros: Great bartenders, good drink, and new people all the time
Cons: Eventually, they have to close up

Been there a few times and really liked the bar. The staff is cool and all of the people were really friendly. Good music and the jukebox and I had fun hanging with the locals. For a local bar it is really nice and clean. I highly recommend if you are looking for a good place to just kick back and have a good relaxing night.

The Rustic is a great spot to hang! Nice to go to a place in LA and have a good time without any pretentious a-holes. A lot of fun. Reminds me of an East Coast Neighborhood bar. Awesome vibe!

The Rustic Lite is a fun little dive. As a women who lives in Redondo I stumbled here on accident and have never left. No phony people here, just down to earth good people. The place is a lot of fun. Everytime I go in I meet someone new. Good drinks, good people, good music, good times.

Definately a great dive bar. I can't remember getting a cheaper drink in LA. Nice people. Seems to always have something going on.

I am a really big fan of dive bars and I have to admit I have fell in love with the Rustic Lite. Friendly staff and bargoers. Everytime I go I meet someone new and yes the Juke kicks ass. The most diverse Jukebox I have ever seen and I love the fact Tenacious D is on it. Great place to hangout!

I checked out this place because it was close to my house. It used to have a bad rep, but it looks like the new owner has really changed it around. The Rustic Lite is a great place to hang out, watch a game on the flat panel screens, listen to the great selections on the Jukebox, meet new people and have a couple of good well priced drinks. The staff was friendly and made me feel at home. I have been four times now and had a great time each visit.
