Horrible Pizza
by grantly36 at Citysearch
From a native New Yorker, this pizza place has a lot of nerve calling it "New York" style pizza. The staff is very unprofessional. Heard the staff making lewd comments about teenage girls who were in the restaurant (concerned parents should not allow their teen age daughters to go here).
- Cons: Staff and food
Why did I spend 25 dollars for a medicore pizza?
by MissGB at Citysearch
Grrr... it's my fault. I did wander in half drunk on last Saturday night but I'm wondering how on earth 8 slices of pizza ( only two of which had topppings) and a vitamin water could come to 25 bucks? eh, the pizza there is good but i think its a bit overpriced...but then again you do get what you pay for when its 3 a.m. and the placed is packed. Next time I go here it will be on an afternoon where I can grab one or two slices and sit outside and people watch.
Best pizza west of NY
by vespucchi at Citysearch
First of all Paisanos Pizza is the best pizza west of ny. Just take a look at all the best pizza and best slice awards that they have compiled over the years its countless. Best pizza in L.A., best pizza in southbay, best pizza ever and on and on. I have read some of the negative reviews and to be perfectly honest they sound like sour grapes and fabrication from some of paisanos local competition. Come on promised a delivery in 15 minutes any idiot knows that it takes that long just to make a pie. Hey these guys have been in business for a long time and they are always busy, that should tell you something about the food and the place. About the so called rude service, have you ever been to NY ?
- Pros: Best Pizza around and the chicken parmesan and lasana is outstanding
- Cons: Wish they had more Paisanos around
Pizza is OK

I've had worse and this place is definitely better than anything from a franchise pizza place. But it's not the best pizza in So Cal. Not even in the top 5.
- Pros: Decent pizza
- Cons: Nothing spectacular
Some of the best pizza in the South Bay....
by citymacla at Citysearch
Good for a slice, Great for take out -- the restaurant is small, so I usually bring it home for the clan....
The staff may be a little no-nonsense, but haven't found them to be rude. Their delivery is slow and unpredictable, dial in and pick it up yourself if you can...
Crumbly Sausage topping is a favorite
Awesome pizza but the service is in need of major help
by caligirlangel at Citysearch
When I moved down to the South Bay from the valley I soon discovered that the restaurants were less than par. I couldn't find a decent deli, sushi bar or pizza place then someone told me about Paisanos. I was hooked at my first bite. The pizza crust was not thin and crispy nor doughy and chewy. The sauce has just the right amount of spice without being overpowering. The cheese is ample and they don't skimp on the toppings either. However, the service is less than desirable. When you call to place a order the girl who answers the phone is always real short and rude. You better not be starving when you place your order because the delivery time is never less than 50 minutes and has taken literally up to two hours. This place would be the best pizza place ever if they could only work on their customer service skills and hired more delivery drivers.
- Pros: Great tasting pizza
- Cons: Rude staff and long delivery times
Rude Service
by be47 at Citysearch
First of all, the pizza reviews for this place are under par. It must be the drunks at 2am stopping by after Pier Ave bars writing these fabulous reviews. Secondly, I have never encountered rude service in Hermosa Beach until eating at Paisanos. It's a shame that such an awful establishment sits in the middle of this fabulous beach city. Beware of the food and service before you go here!
- Pros: We can run them out of business if everyone boycotts!
- Cons: Long wait, rude, nothing to brag about
FOUND PUBIC HAIR IN PAISANO'S PIZZA!!!!!!!!!

Rude Delivery Guy - stole our change!
Unacceptable Service
Undercooked and unsanitary!
Usually I do not take the time to write reviews but this particular incident cannot go unnoticed! We ordered a cheese pizza by delivery which was severely undercooked by the time it arrived (a 30 minute wait after we were promised 15 minutes). Having eaten pizza here before we were very disappointed at the quality. The cheese had separated completely from the dough which itself was rubbery without any flavor. I was just going to let it go but it had been so long since I'd had a good slice of pizza so I called to let them know what happened and kindly asked for a new pizza. We had to call back after waiting an hour. They had forgotten all about us, and that's putting it nicely! Finally after another 30 minutes we received the new pizza. The delivery guy wanted the old pizza back (disgusting) but I was happy to get rid of it! The second pizza was just as rubbery so we only had a slice after all that effort. Ten minutes later we got a call from a blocked number - it was the delivery guy leaving us a nasty voice mail over 2 minutes long! He rudely accused us of lying about the pizza to get a free one (mind you a pizza costs no more than the large tip he received). Never in my life have I witnessed such unexcusable behavior from a service employee. And no, Paisano's is not New York style pizza! I hope the owner and the rest of Hermosa Beach sees this post and takes their business to Pedone's down the street - which has better pizza anyway!
- Cons: Rude service, unsanitary, slow delivery, UNACCEPTABLE!
some of the best pizza in LA
by senorgrande at Citysearch
Being from NY, i miss my NY Pizza. this is as close as it gets. The prices for everything is great and if you just want some cheap italian, it is great. The chicken parm is awesome. The dinner salad is great. The owner is cool and the waitress is cool. One of the waiters has attitude but no place is perfect.
- Pros: all food, pricing
- Cons: crowded at 2 am
