It's disheartening to see so many negative reviews of this church. I am in no way a "church person" but if I decide I would like some Christian spirituality in my life I come here. The pastors are always interesting as are their guest speakers. The staff is very friendly. The few times I attended they collected donations at the beginning of the service which I liked as it got the "business" out of the way. And, yes, running a church is a business - they have to make money somewhere as all churches do. The band and choir are excellent and really make you feel as you are giving praise. I will attend this church in the next few weeks and retract my comments if the place has changed. I hope not...

Pros: Friendly Pastors, Friendly Staff, Not Pushy

Cons: Parking

I don't know WHAT people are talking about when they say this is a cult. I travel around the country and this is not my home church but I have been popping into this church every once in awhile for the past 10 years--first of all, it is VERY accepting of others and the offerings are voluntary and they rarely even PREACH on tithing or giving--it is totally voluntary. Extra-marital affairs? I doubt it. where do you guys come up with this stuff. If you want to see a cult go check out LA church of Christ--hip and creepy all right and once you go once there , they'll never let you go--THAT is a cult. Oasis is cool and hip and if anything Christianity "light" -- it is a little too mellow and not too deep--so it is for the beginning or intermediate Christian but if you want a deep teaching with prophecy or a heavy faith message--this church is too mellow for that. Still recommend it for being non-offensive and great for new Christians--if you want a mellow and light hearted (with world and community focus) come to this church.

Pros: lots of services, wear jeans, user friendly

Cons: Sunday night is too mellow, message is by staff, not pastors.

I like the oasis. I go to church, and grew up in the south, so the Oasis was a different expirence for me, but I really liked it. The people are pretty friendly, and i really like the music. They really make you feel welcomed.

Pros: people/music/pastors

Cons: Parking/seating

I went their a few years ago because I heard this amazing guy singing there. When I moved back, I was excited to check it out again. WOW this place is beyond creepy! I've never seen more brain washed people in my life. The music was bad and everything about the place was over the top like I was sitting in an infomercial and ALL about money. I have been to a lot of churches and been a Christian pretty much my whole life. I've heard some bad things about this place, but just discounted it. Big mistake! Trust me this place has no business being called a church!

Pros: ummm...

Cons: Pastor, Music and basically everything I witnessed was lacking and or borderline evil

Ok so i am not against going to church or anything, but this was by far the creepiest most brain washed church i have ever seen. i visited with a friend (whom i no longer assosciate with because of how brainwashed she was by this place) for easter service, . they showed us this video of how people discovered the church because of their problems, from drinking, to abuse, to ftaher relationships...etc. but then they had this gay guy who was so gay it was obvious he was gay!!! so he talks about how when he was young he was jealous of his schools football players for their bodys and hairstyles, and then he said hi jealousy turned into lust and he then had to deal with partaking in homosexuality. he was tampering with it! then he goes on to say how he found the oasis and they saved him and now he likes women !!!! it was soooooooo sooooo creepy. iam not gay but i am smart enough to know how creepy this was. also they sell this water that they say goes to the wells in africa, but let me tell you, i think that money is going into these high budget concert performances, stage performances, short films, advertisements etc, ..... ultimatly this is no church. it is a place that vacuums up people and scams them into donating loads of money for "wells"..... i was so creeped out by this place i could not take it. DO NOT GO HERE! GO TO YOUR NORMAL COMMUNITY CHURCH AND NOT THIS PLACE! IT IS NOT EVEN IN A CHURCH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I felt like i was at universal studios on the terminator ride, and the church is like the syodine company that is trying to control people and i feel like the guy who is trying to tell everyone the truth. i am not some lunatic, i am a normal guy who knows whats right and whats wrong, and this place is WRONG!!!

Pros: air conditioning

Cons: brainwashing, anti-gay teachings, demands donations , creepy staff who wear t shirts that you can buy too!!!!!!! lies, creepy enviorment...etc

I moved here a year ago, and have been attending the Oasis since. Tried out a couple other churches, but this was my favorite. The music is great, the teaching makes sense and the people here are super friendly! You walk in and they serve you refreshments, and the pastors actually hangout in the lobby and are really approachable. The venue is pretty cool too, it's in an old theatre. Doesn't feel churchy at all! It's also really diverse, which I love! People from all cultures, races, backgrounds, ages, etc. They have cool missions programs, including a water program where you can buy water and help build wells in Africa. It's also a great place to meet people, and they make it easy to get involved.

Pros: Service is under 90 minutes, red mango across the street, cool atmosphere, friendly people

Cons: ???

My husband and I searched for over a year for a church. We could never find somewhere we felt comfortable until we walked into the Oasis. A friend invited us to one of their events and we were there the next Sunday. The congregation is young, hip and real! The Pastor's are transparent and lead their life's as examples. We finally felt at home..........many years later............we're still attending and now our kids enjoy their children's ministry. I love being at a church where I don't feel like I have to pretent to be something I'm not and in Los Angeles...................that isn't always the case! I hope you can visit one day!

Pros: teachings, people, music, small groups and the many friends you'll make

I love this church! Everyone was so friendly, and the music was great! People and leaders seemed genuine and excited to be at church! When I got there, volunteers made me feel welcome and even served me coffee! The message was relevant to what was going on in my life. I had a great time and met cool people!

Pros: people, music, message

Cons: can't think of one

This place is a CULT and the "Pastors" (for lack of a better word) are known to have extra-marital affairs, steal money from the church and left many members broken.

Pros: they know how to put on a show

Cons: pastoral staff consists of manipulaters, liars and cons
