Overpriced, mediocre pizza

Alright, I NEVER complain about restaurants, especially Pizza places. I mean it's pizza, right? Whatever... I had a really bad experience with Point Pizza. I ordered some pizzas on the 4th of July and had it delivered to Zuma Beach. Well, it wasn't the most convenient way of delivery for us- meeting the driver on the street. (and still charging us for delivery). Plus, it was a pizza- nothing to RAVE about. But my thing was when I got the charge later on that Monday. I was overcharged tremendously! The person over the phone didn't mention all the "extra" charges that came with my order. I hate small mom-and-pop places that have to nickel and dime customers just so they can stay afloat in business. It's one thing to overcharge, but it's another being misleading about the charges. I called them to get an explanation on the charges and the owner was just as misleading as the person over the phone. Needless to say, I paid for some overpriced, mediocre pizzas.

I seriously cannot imagine the mental state of a person who writes a bad review for this restaraunt because my experience has been the polar opposite. By the way, I am not merely basing my opinion on one or two experiences with them. Rather 100's over the years! I am a Malibu resident and have ordered from Point Pizza dozens upon dozens of times. They are always polite, have quality food, moderate prices and a fast home delivery!

What I really love about how they make their pizza is the quality of ingredients as well as the flavor! I love the texture and so do my kids. Sometimes infact, my younger son will go in there on a weekday to order pizza by the slice. Whenever he wants an afterschool snack, he goes there. And, at 13 years old, most boys will eat anything, but not mine. He's picky! So, if he loves it, then it must be great!

I highly recommend this pizza. They have sandwhiches and some salad. I've had the salad and it's very good, but haven't ventured too much into their sandwhiches. If somebody were to have a bad experience with this place, it had to be an isolated incident or perhaps it was the customer's personal perspective or personality. There's just some people that cannot be pleased. They call them "complainers".

• Cons: MAYBE PARKING? BUT, THEY DELIVER SO IT DOESN'T REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Sorry the teacher had such a problem but we have done business with Point Pizza for years and they could not be nicer people!! And, it is good!

Bad pizza, bad attitude

Wow, I had a horrible customer service experience with this place. AND their pizza is NOT that good. Bleh. This is what happened. I was teacher at a summer movie-making class at Malibu High and promised the kids pizza at the end of the week. I went to the life guard station to place my order and gave them explicit directions on how to get to my room. An hour goes by. I call them and the rude woman on the phone says her driver couldn't find the room so he came back. I ask to have it delivered again and SHE SAID NO. I explained that I had 12 starving 8-12 year-olds and she didn't care. The driver couldn't find it so tough luck. I asked if he could deliver it to the life guard station and she said no and HUNG UP ON ME! Isn't that insane?! I got one of the life guards to order another pizza and after a few minutes of them convincing this RUDE woman that they had no affiliation with me she decided to take their order. The pizza was delivered to the guard station no problem and the kids got fed 2 hours after I placed my original order. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. Please don't give these jerks your business. I wrote to them and filed a complaint and never heard back. The B - B - B had this to say about them, "We have enough concerns about this company (for example, their offer, customer complaints, advertising, etc.) that we recommend caution in doing business with it."

As Good as the View in Malibu

This pizza could be the best in the world, but sadly, no one knows it. Point Pizza is a hole in the wall pizza place with no seating, but delivers the best pizza my friends and I have ever had--New Yorkers included. You have to get all the toppings (maybe not anchoives or jalepenos), and you have to fork over some cash, but it is worth every penny!

• Cons: Price, No Seating, Small Delivery Area
