Born in the '80s and aimed at health-concscious customers looking for an ice cream experience without the calories, Penguin's offers a line of fat-free, sugar-free and dairy-free frozen dessert products. Each location has a variety of soft-serve and hard-packed frozen yogurts with many toppings from which to choose.

Yogurt Heaven!!

Oh my gosh, I LOVE this place. It's a slice of heaven away from home. There are so many choices of low-carb options and the flavors are decadent. The customer service is right on the money and the yogurt is worth every lovely spoonful. The options change every other day and the taste is almost sinful! They have a freezer with a few "oops" yogurts on sale which is nice to take home for dessert. Along with that are sodas available for purchase to go. It is very customer service oriented and I'm always greeted with a smile. If I ask for a sample flavor its no problem and there are plenty of napkins and spoons. I only wish this yogurt shop was within walking distance to my house. Sigh.... lucky Redondo Beach.

• Cons: Cash only, no public restrooms. Oh well, its totally worth it - the yogurt is pure heaven!!
