Local friendly. The manager, Brian, is most accomodating. A magnificent house on Speedway and 30th. Street. If you're tired of looking at the same old walls in your own house check in and reinvent your thoughts while being serenated by the ocean.
Charming B&B offers a glimpse into Venice's colorful past.

The Scene
It's a rustic, modest bungalow hidden away on a quiet (for Venice, at least) side street. No grand lobby or concierge, but there's a cozy patio and an attentive innkeeper. A plaque declaring the inn's history hangs in a delightful little garden, proudly announcing its origins in the 1910s. Memorabilia marking highlights in Venice history can be found throughout.
The Details
Every room is unique and many pay tribute to famous former guests. The Aimee McPherson room boasts a private entrance and fully stocked library (McPherson was a famed L.A. evangelist back in the day when preachers were as popular as rock stars). Exposed pine beams highlight the Tramp's Quarters, named for Charlie Chaplin, who was known to frequent Venice lodgings regularly. Complimentary breakfast, antique appointments in every room.

My house was being remodeled and a friend suggested the Venice Beach House. I called and was helped by a friendy woman on the phone. When i arrived I was amazed. I have lived in Venice for 12 years and never knew this charming place was here. It was fantastic. My four days were wonderful. The location was perfect and the staff was so friendly. They called me by my name. (more then i ever got at a famous chain hotel i usually stay at) All in all i now make sure my out of town visitors stay at the Venice Beach House.

The manager was warm and paid attention to every detail. The room, The Olympic is large and tastefully decorated in Victorian Style. We lounged around the cool porch until we were rested even thoug we had slept like babies. The mattress was just right. The area and environment is very quiet at night.
- Pros: good parking, COMFORTABLE, budget priced
