Mixed Feelings and Mixed Staff

This place is generally fine. It's a tad pricey, but the food is pretty good. There is a problem with staff. Let's call it someone who just doesn't get it, someone who wants the customer to be always wrong. If you go regularly, you can figure out on which day there is no smile or anything resembling a sense of humor. Beyond that, I had a billing problem which was met with adversity, strange accusations, and one week later persisted to show that perhaps the customer is always wrong. Did my best to be friendly. Some people should not be in service related positions. Keep in mind that this is sort of a self-serve. Dishes are brought to your table after paying in advance. A quiet, more than adequate breakfast spot, one I will have to avoid on at least one day of the week. Had two perfectly fine mornings ruined.

AMAZING FOOD!

I haven't had a good burger in awhile, and Joni's was definitely the place to get it. Who would have thought a coffeehouse would have such great food!

It isn't just coffee and burgers though, there are also a few healthy choices in the menu. Great place! I'd recommend it to anyone!

The RODFATHER burger is amazing (and it's on a pretzel roll...to die for). Their chicken salad sandwich is light and ridiculously delicious with little pieces of skinless apple in it. Lots of healthy options too if you're into that type of thing, haha.

Writing this is making me hungry, I might need to go there for lunch today! :)

Best Burger I've Ever Had

Wow, I was blown away by the RodFather Burger and the Blue Cheese Burger. If you're a burger Connoisseur you have to try them both!

• Pros: Juicy 1/2 pounder seved on a Delicious pretzel bun

Meat without defeat!

I had the Rodfather for the first time the other day and I am HOOKED! The Rodfather was extremely tasty without the aftertaste. The portion was massive but didn't leave that sick tired feeling afterwards. Management totally friendly. I can't wait to have my next fix! My new hangout, and can't wait to watch NFL on Sundays there on their big screens!

Great dining experience!

Food is delish! Service is fast & friendly. The short order counter style works well with the lay out & the dinning area is roomy and bright. I want to go back and try everything on the menu. Try the coffee - best in L.A.!

LA's NEW BEST BURGER! - "THE RODFATHER"

Incredible Whipped Horseradish Burger with Pepper Jack & yellow cheddar cheeses, Fresh Sliced Red onion, Tomato, Shredded lettuce - on Homemade Warm Pretzel Bun! - This is a must have!!

Coffee + + + = great experience

The freshest coffee in town and only place that I know of that has 100% Kona coffee. Food is well above average, and the coffee finishes the picture. Great informal environment.

• Cons: Not close enough to my office
